@@secoTheSonicFan yeah, you dont notice till you play but he wasnt playing on the lowest graphic settings, no it forces it to look like that, the textures are stuck in like 8p quality
I remember during the Live SAGE 2021 Showcase, during one of Tails’ dialogue scenes, (Tails Channel) Evan did a Jason Griffith Sonic impression for Tails 💀💀
Honestly I've always loved the 3d aesthetic of Rush. Low poly and pixelated, yet the bright colours and pointy proportions seems to work. Also the particle effects don't look bad either
Rush was my first Sonic game, and I loved it. Except for the stupid difficulty jump in Blazes Story where you start at carnival place and all those bottomless pits.
I love the idea behind this. I’ll definitely keep an eye on this project. However, the level design looks terribly underwhelming. It definitely doesn’t have the fast paced, keep you on your toes vibe Sonic Rush is known for, or even the boost games in general.
I remember seeing this project at SAGE 21 in a video from a Brazilian channel called: Planeta Sonic. This "Sonic Rush in 3D" is like a "Sonic Unleashed", only with the graphics of Sonic Rush from Nintendo DS. I found this project very interesting!
You have no idea how much I wanted to see footage of this game. I do know that everything is still a WIP but it’s so promising. Had it not been for Rush to be my first Sonic game, I probably would’ve not reconize this
I think this looks fucking amazing but I’d make the colors a tad brighter tho that’s me I can tell your staying true to the sonic rush artstyle with the color palate
the lack of any effect while boosting, like how gens and unleashed have an air wooshing ambience and distort the music make the boost lose a lot of its oomph imo, and aside from the trick system not repleneshing boost on every trick like in gens or rush, this looks cool
That's the point of the trick system though here, you do all the tricks you can perform and have to press a confirmation button which then rewards you the boost you've worked for. Its a risk reward sort of thing, seeing how many tricks you can pull off before touching the ground.
@@britishpie7665 i get that, build up a large combo and get a certain amount of boost as a reward depending in how big your combo was, but idk, it feels like you get starved for boost in this game, and the point of the boost games was that, if you were good enough, you basically never had to let go of the boost button because you'd refill it faster than it would drain, here it seems like the game expects you to boost everywhere but doesnt give you enough ways to refill your boost to keep that going
I already saw this on the day it was posted, and honestly, it was pretty interesting for me despite how different it was. Stage wise I might say. But it was pretty awesome on how it turned out for the person who created this. Thanks for the Sonic Rush 3D Remake Showcase, Velcomia!
The concept of Water Palace being a part of Apotos(what even is Apotos, is it from some boring ass game that isn't So- I'm just kidding, I know it's from Unleashed and I love it) makes me really, really happy
Oh wow. There's places where I might tweak the level design and a few glitches to work out, but that itself is testament o the ambitiousness of the project. There's a lot happening here to really like and respect. Absolutely love the tone and the fleshing out of the lore of both Apotos and the Water Palace by putting them within running distance of each other. Stuff like that just makes the world feel fuller to me.
I believe that the level design is a bit barren, but it looks fun! Hopefully, that'll be fleshed out in future updates. But, MAN I've always wanted to see a 3D remake of Sonic Rush. Can't wait to see how Night Carnival would look.
i really like how at the start when your at apitos the music is more windmill isle and as you get closer to the waterpalace it fades more into back 2 back with a litle bit of sonic 3 samples
It looks really cool! I do think that they should either remove the Windmill Isle notes or remix the song entirely for the first stage, since it sounds off with them on it.
SEGA couldve made some mad bank remaking the Advance or Rush series into a 3d format. It's just, sitting there. Glad this could be conceptualized with Rush though cus this is hot.
Okay I gotta admit, the low-poly models and super-low-res textures actually do have a definite charm to them. After all, if Cranky Kong has taught me anything, it’s that graphics aren’t everything, but I do like how this emulates the _Rush_ graphical style a lot.
I wish concepts like these were on original hardware half of the time.. Oh well tho. Always wanted/imagined this on my DS ever since Rush came out as a kid.. Lol. Still friggin awesome.. Even to see how much further it really could have been than the original hardware given the upgrades as well
I see potential in this. . And for going more of an Unleashed route is the best method because the Rush series are a precursor to the Boost Sonic era. . .
Despite being less graphically impressive, the NDS character models/artstyle is definitely one of my favorites! "Sonic had a rough transition to 3D" my ass.
The weird BGM combo of Windmill Isle and Water Palace is almost approaching a Sonic Chronicles level of bad and clustered. What the fuck is even going on there? It sounds like they literally smashed both level themes together without even thinking
If sonic Rush within 3D yeah I really imagine it like this because sonic unleashed boost is actually from sonic rush so I think this is the right 3D remix
