A cool addition I'd love to see with this is a spring assist for ejecting the shells. It doesn't need to launch the shells out, just a little bit of push to give you more space to yoink the shell out.
Reminds me of an idea I had back in the day. I wanted a bunch of "shells" hooked up to a pump so I could pump them all up individually and close all the valves, then use the blaster to fire them. But this takes it to the next level.
Just a note, use air gun oil with these (or any o ring). Normal petroleum based oil eats o rings. (Also petroleum based oils can explode when used in a device that is powered by compressed air.)
Good point; we should have specified! We generally recommend silicone-based lubricants for all of blaster modding and maintenance needs, so it didn't cross our mind at the time of filming.
@@sixthgatebass haha, i hear ya. But regulations are very strict here. And we are technically already operating in a very grey area with our nerf wars, considering toy and gun laws here. Dont wanna take unnecessary risks, as nerf club organizer.
I would also like to see an addition to this blaster where you don't need compressed air, just a spring. Also I would love to see more hardware kits only on your website.
Id love some benchmarks for regular air compression. I dont know what to expect from 100 psi at whatever the volume of the canister is Can it handle megaxl for example?
Love this but my nerf club mostly plays at public parks and the city says no go on using this because of the compressed gas. Perhaps I can convince a paintball or airsoft field to let us play there?
As mainly an airsofter, i cringed a bit seeing you load the gas upwards, since that's something you cannot do in airsoft. The green gas magazines NEED the pressurized liquid, else you only get maybe 5 shots out of a 30 round magazine
Depending on the ammo type, single-shot cartridges like the 40 MAX can be pressurized without the liquid. heavier ammo types, like Mega XL would definitely fire better with the higher pressure of filling it upside-down.
How exactly is this not a knockoff of Ehdrien's Mayday Mk2, and how is selling it not supporting people ripping off other designers? This is very disappointing from OOD, considering the Gecko was so widely knocked off by chinese manufacturers. Does OOD think knocking off someone else's design is acceptable because Luke and Flux are friends?
Good morning and thank you for sharing your concern! While the Mayday Mk2 and Gambit look similar on the surface, they function quite differently. The break action was designed and tested to close easily with the flick of the wrist, the hammer and the trigger use springs instead of elastic cord, and Flux Labs designed this blaster from scratch to look and feel like the Fortnite Flare. Additionally, we have worked with Old Fusion Designs to license the use of his 40mm shell designs and sell them on the shop. Given the close-knit nature of this hobby, we do our best to handle IP with care, and we wouldn’t sell a product without making sure the right person is credited and compensated.
@Arcturus1239 foam darts or foam dart guns. You don't call every fire arm a Smith and Wesson because that's a brand name. You don't call Lazer tag guns nerf and yes nerf makes those. You don't call airsoft genre cybergun or another brand manufacturer so why call the genre of foam darts nerf when it's not nerf. Why nerf and not dart zone or adventure force? Calling it nerf is stupid. Call the guns by there name and call the genre for what it is. Foam dart guns
