You’re misunderstanding it completely and you’re wrong about it, Dave. It was always God‘s plan from the beginning. There was never a vote as to which plan should be used.
Dave actually Mormonism teaching is that God didn't create any of us from nothing, but that everything was formed from intelligence or intelligent energy. Meaning that you me and even Jesus Christ were not created, but has always existed. "Create" to a Mormon really means formed, just like how clay is formed into a pot. We would say we created the pot, but it doesn't mean we created the pot out of nothing. What Joseph Smith taught was that our spirit is "co-equal with God." I think this helps in a better understanding that collectively we are are all connected into a spiritual family as one without one above another. Joseph Smith seam to have this notion of a equal collective authority, not of one above another hiarchy. When he established the church he created equality within each of the quorums so the quorum of the 12 was equal in authority to the quorum of the presidency. When Joseph Smith died Brigham Young changed all that and really created this higharchy of power. I just wanted to clarify that teaching of Mormonism, but to be honest I think it's more allegorical teaching than a literal, but I also believe the Book of Mormon and Bible to be fictional books that are more allegorical. @@007ullrich He canceled our spiritual debts, our sins, our transgressions of God’s law, and this is what the note of debt refers to. In his crucifixion, Christ symbolically nailed our note of debt to his cross because his sacrifice paid our debts. This is the same thing that is taught in mormonism. Where most Christians don't understand is that Mormonism focuses an a second "salvation" which is a salvation from losing awards in the kingdom of heaven. The awards are referred to as glory. When you do works of righteousness you gain glory that glorifies the Father. When you do works of unrighteousness then you lose glory. When you repent and change from unrighteous living to righteous living then you're-gain any glory you may have lost. Because Chist put his Holy Spirit into mankind after the resurrection it gives us the desire to act in righteousness and essentially saving us from losing our glory that glorifies the Father. Galatians 1:8 Mormons believe this scripture as well and if you are going to try and claim that they teach a different gospel then you have an uphill battle because the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that Christ died on the cross, was buried in the tomb, and was resurrected the third day to save us from the outer darkness of hell and allowing us to be reconciled with the Father to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Mormons preach the same gospel and good luck trying to convince a mormon otherwise. You can't through in mormon theology as a different gospel because even early christian fathers had different theories. As being a Mormon for 40 years I have no idea why christians keep using the same arguments they have used for years and continue to tell mormons what they believe. This is how it plays out in scripture: Moses 4: 1 And I, the Lord God, spake unto Moses, saying: That Satan, whom thou hast commanded in the name of mine Only Begotten, is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me, saying-Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor. 2 But, behold, my Beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me-Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever. 3 Wherefore, because that Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man, which I, the Lord God, had given him, and also, that I should give unto him mine own power; by the power of mine Only Begotten, I caused that he should be cast down; In Abraham 3 it’s shown that God the Father asked all those assembled who would be the Savior and Christ volunteered first and then Lucifer. When Heavenly Father chose Jesus Lucifer then rebelled and was subsequently cast out. God made the choice, we decided who we would follow - God the Father and Christ as the Savior or Lucifer. There is no violation of sovereignty.

God the Father chose the Savior and dictated what the plan would be, we simply made the decision if we would choose to go along with it or rebel against God like Lucifer did. Unlike what this video is saying we do not dictate to God what He will or will not do, neither does He ask us for permission. I imagine this is a belief we have in common - God commands and we are required to obey.

There was a vote but it wasn’t one in which we dictated to God, but an individual one where we each individually decided who we would follow. I’ve never heard what you described in the video
How is the doctrine of the trinity Christian when it was formulated 325 years AD? Instituted by an unbaptized Roman emporer, Constantine oversaw assimilated pagan ideas into this concept of trinity.
The dogma was proclaimed in AD 325, not the doctrine. Constantine had nothing to do with the council other than calling it to settle a dispute, which is what Emperors did. He was an Arian until his deathbed where he was baptized by an Arian bishop. Therefore he had nothing to do with the Trinity. Arianism is paganism, however, and that's basically what Mormons believe in. The Trinity comes from the Second Temple belief of the two Powers of God and the Spirit of God.
