Are more and more Christians believing it's Ok to practice Sin because Christ has paid all of my sin, past, present and future? What does the Bible teach us?

“But some one will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder.” ‭‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭

Faith without works (of repentance) is no faith at all.

Doesn’t true repentance require WORK? 🤔 Hard to cleanse someone who desires to return or stay in the mud or simply not willing to do their part to walk out of the “puddle.” Sure it might take time to overcome some choices/addictions but ultimately we must decide to truly forsake that which impedes us from staying in the Lord’s presence.

Romans 6:1-2: What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Dave, the Orthodox teaching about salvation is not what you are teaching in this video. Christ didn’t die to pay for our sins. That is the Protestant view. Christ came to restore what was lost at the fall. He restored our relationship with God that was lost at the fall, and he conquered death by His death. Christ was a ransom to redeem us from Satan’s jurisdiction. Protestants think in terms of a courtroom, that there was a crime that needed to be paid for because of sin. The Orthodox view is to think in terms of a hospital. Mankind became separated from God at the fall. When you are separated from the source of life you become sick and die. It’s a natural consequence of being separated from God. God didn’t become angry and therefore required His justice and anger to be satisfied, and therefore sent Jesus to pay the price of our sins to satisfy His justice. He sent Jesus to release us from the natural consequence of what happened at the fall, because He loves us and wants us to be united with Him. There was no anger or wrath, or payment for our sins as punishment involved on God’s part. Protestants wrongly believe that when Jesus cried out from the cross Abba Father why have you forsaken me, he did so because the Father turned His back on Jesus because all of our sins were laid on Him. But our sins were not placed on Jesus. He was without blemish. What happened was completely different. Jesus was fully human, and he said this on behalf of humanity. The Father couldn’t turn His back on Jesus because He was fully God and God can’t turn His back on Himself. Jesus was restoring mankind’s relationship with God that was lost at the fall.

To be lost and not even know it... keeping close the vein of empty thoughts, serving the liar while calling it service to God. It's a terrible state to be in. At least the unbeliever tells the truth when he says he does not believe.

Dave, did you leave the Orthodox church?

Presumably his referencing thesis around the 5 minute mark would indicate he is still in the Orthodox Church.
