Conversion rate optimization is a hot topic for online businesses, because it has a direct and powerful effect on revenue.
That's my reasoning to study the topic and learn everything I can about A/B testing. If you're on the same track, this A/B testing book from the founders of Optimizely CRO platform is a great reference with multiple examples that help you understand the topic on a deeper level.
Despite being published in 2013, all the tests and their insights are relevant, as the principles are timeless. Beyond individual results, the book makes a case that A/B testing is the best way to test and prove any assumptions.
Even if modern CRM softwares and tools for personalization have taken conversion optimization to a much higher level, basic A/B testing is as relevant as ever and also very accessible to ecommerce businesses, marketers, copywriters, UX/UI designers and so on.
