A Balcony for Solo Cruisers? Royal Caribbean Solo Cruiser Cabin Review 

I'm glad cruise lines are offering more cabins for people who choose to cruise alone or want their own cabin. This is a very nice cabin, I would book it.

Great video, loved where you showed yourself standing in the shower. It just shows how nice the showers really are.

I just saw this video and I see it's four years old but I hope these cabins are still available. It is perfect for me. I'm 75 and love a balcony, but did not want to be on one of the inside closed in balconies that are on NCL and most ships. Although the NCL studio lounge sounds really nice. Thank you for this video.I'm actually gonna call world caribbean tomorrow and see if I can book this cabin in the future! I really appreciate all your videos and the work you put into them

That cabin is just about as big as our interior cabin on our first cruise 17 years ago! Very nice to have the balcony.

Great solo cabin, don't mind obstructed view because still can see the glorious ocean

My feeling is that Princess seems to be one of the few cruise lines that do not offer Solo Cruisers any discounts or Solo cabins, that said their Balcony rooms are very spacious giving you just over 230 sqft of living area, if your on a lengthy cruise you really want that space to move around and not bash your head on some object or corner. Great solo cabin!!! So glad to see the newer ships have a U.S. plug by the bed because many of us need to sleep with CPAP machines and they don't have USB ports. :-) Also, the bathroom is a BIG PLUS as the Solo Cabins at NCL have all the solo cabins as interiors, with the bathroom in the room and not separated by a door!! Oh my.

I've booked 7250 on ovation of the seas for a for day cruise out of Sydney in January 2022. Royal seems to have done a great job on these cabins. Thanks for doing this video Tony, I'm much more comfortable with my cabin choice.

That cabin is way bigger than the interior studios on NCL. PLENTY of room for 1 - I’d definitely book this category.

I have never seen a solo cabin available on Royal Caribbean until recently. I booked Odyssey of the Seas for a sailing out of Rome in 2025 and saw a solo balcony and grabbed it. It was significantly less expensive than a regular balcony! I'm so glad I ran across this video because it's probably the same cabin as on the Odyssey.

Wow, that's a nice size cabin, and I love that they provide a teapot! I just started traveling solo and would not hesitate to book a room in that size cabin. I don't like Norwegian's solo cabins because most tend to be interiors, and I'm too claustrophobic to cruise in an interior cabin.

I was on anthem of the seas in a solo cabin leaving from new Jersey ams it looks identical to the one i had wven the balcony i loved it my balcony was bigger then some of the others regular balconies

I'm a solo traveler and always pay double...(usually no options for single cabins with balconies...). But I've grown to hate those tiny stools even in the full size cabins since I spend a lot of time in my cabin typing on my laptop several times a day. So, I now demand a chair and will choose my cabin / cruise line accordingly. I also want a large work area and not something that is small and littered with the things I never use... trays with Tea Kettles, etc. I know the cruise line expects no one to need/want to use a desk and and do work but I'm an exception. Thanks Tony.

I've seen pics on their website of this type room and the other type that looks like you're almost sharing a room with another family. I hope doubles leave these for singles as I read they allow 2 people. Good on RCL for making rooms with balconies for us solo travelers. 👏🏼

I love that room! I had an interior on Mariner of the Seas and it looked only a smidge smaller than the one I was in! I have to ask though, your magnets, do you and Jenny collect them from every where you go? I've been collecting mine for years!!

This is very nice. I'm booked on NCL Getaway Transatlantic. The solo cabins were sold out,so I asked for a balcony. My cost went way up. I don't believe I got much if any solo discount on my balcony cabin.

Booked interior guarantee on carnival liberty for 3 and it was 1/2 this size but we made it work for 4 nights! Yours looks awesome!

This solo balcony cabin is so nice. Much bigger than the solo cabins on some of the NCL ships (with the shower in the cabin - not in the bathroom)! I could even fit my scooter in this cabin!! Someday - maybe I’ll try the Anthem of the Seas solo balcony! Thanks for the cabin tour Tony!

Great Review Tony. It's good to know there's a single cabin option with a balcony. I cruised once in a solo cabin on the NCL Bliss and it was a great experience. Having a balcony would've been a plus. Please let me know which camera you are using.

what a great cabin! I'm having a difficult time right now, I have triplets and they USED to be tiny enough to not worry lol but now they're getting bigger. Cabins for 5 are pretty hard to get! Any advice?

The "this wooden area is not used" is where the alcove next to the bed is located

The magnetic sign to put outside of our door on Liberty of the Seas said 'Out catching thrills' on one side and 'Sleeping off the adventure' on the other. Our problem. We would forget to flip it over when we left and our room wouldn't get cleaned. :-( One day we didn't put the sign out at all. Later the steward said he came in. His comment about it. 'You guys were zonked'.

Thanks for the video. After watching yours, I just book the studio cabin #7750, the one immediate above and to the left, for Dec sailing. I think #7750 should have an unblocked balcony view.

It's not bad, the balcony helps. I've traveled solo in an interior and I think there 's a little more room in the interior. The Interior seems to have a little more walking room which is better for storage purposes. Still this single is nice.

It's too bad Princess doesn't have this, our friends were to go on a cruise with us on the Sky, sadly her husband died and now she actually cancelled because she would still have to pay as if he was with her. Princess needs to get on board with solo cruisers....

Not surprised that RCCL and NCL are offering staterooms for singles. Both of those lines have taken a cruise on with my late wife. They offer an inferior product when compared to other cruise lines.

Is it a 100% single supplement or are the cabins priced differently? That balcony was incredible. I sailed on Anthem with another person in an inside cabin witht he virtual balcony and it was a lot smaller than this, I'm thinking it was roughly 5 steps from door to wall small.

Tony, how do you book a "Solo Cabin" i have never been able to get one, is my Travel Agent missing something?........oh, I cruise Royal Caribbean exclusively and i am a Diamond Plus member.

Our interior room on Grandeur of the Seas was definitely way smaller than that. The bed went the other way and both had to turn sideways to get into bed. Slightly bigger closet maybe but a smaller washroom and shower for sure. And washroom had step up.
