Awesome. Reminds me of the whole fiddle battle with the devil tale. So epic, and it so captures the feeling of articulate and equally matched duellers battling and yet repecting each other and fighting honourably. So good 👏
heart-wrenching! dramatic! wonderful! borderline operatic, i must say! your programmatic writing is wonderful and reminds me so much of music used in those hardly-seen but incredibly thought provoking and emotionally twisting indie movies that pop up every now and again. again!! incredible! wonderful!
I swear, your string work has got to be the best on RU-vid. Your voicings & harmonic resolutions, especially apparent in your characteristic legato-sections, are super well thought out. Well done!!!
thank you so much! :D i don't know about being the best, but i think i have a bit of an advantage having been a string player (cellist) for the past eight years
thank you so much! i'm glad you resonated with this piece :D also, i can't believe i didn't know who Chris Larkin is! i've known about how good the Hollow Knight soundtrack was, but i never knew the composer, so thank you for telling me about him :)
i’m a huge fan of azali and i frequently get videos recommended to me that similar to his - they never fail to disappoint and clearly this doesn’t break the mould! excellent work, i love the long intro and finale parts, it adds a lot of atmosphere to the song :)
thank you so much! :D legato strings are probably my favorite thing to work with; they can convey a lot of emotion also, while Azali didn't inspire me to make music, he inspired me to post it :D his music is beyond fantastic!
Thank you so much :D I've never heard "globalism" used in reference to music (then again, I haven't actually studied music and its history too much lol), but it sounds interesting!
this is super cool, i love both the D to C motif and main theme being present in the end, maybe symbolizing how both brothers were equally affected by the death of the other :p
Probably sooner rather than later! I'm planning on making a little album with the quartet pieces I've made, but I just need to make some goofy album art first :)
