A Beatlemaniac's Dreams Come True! | UK 2024 Vlog Day 11 - Liverpool 

I really need to say that I’ve really liked Spencer through these vlogs, not that I ever disliked him or anything, don’t want to give that impression at all, but really impressed with him. I think he’s done a great job, not the typical Americans in UK vlog, these ones I’ve enjoyed immensely, and I find the drunk vlogs hilarious

I went to university in Liverpool and still go back there as often as I can to see friends. Absolutely one of the best cities.

Im Belgian. I went to England for the first time in april this year. I stayed 11 days. Went to London, Liverpool, York and Bristol. Liverpool was also a bucket list for me. It's so fun seeing it again. Going back next year. The UK is awesome

First thing you see in Liverpool on the vlog is Gotham City Hall from The Batman AKA St George's Hall

Liverpool is one of the best UK cities in my opinion, I love the docks so much!

Speaking as a Yorkshire man who has lived on the south coast since 1992 and has no affiliation/routes with Liverpool whatsoever - I have to declare that I found Liverpool be the finest city in England, I’ve ever visited. 👍❤

My first experience of an underground train was in Liverpool. My gramps called the city by its old, Welsh name Llynlleifiad. When I returned to England, three years later, aged eight, I became accustomed to London's Underground, but Llynlleifiad was my first. During my six yrs at school in Westminster, we sang at Liverpool's Anglican/Episcopal cathedral several times. It's the largest church in Britain.

I haven't been to Liverpool since 2006 and wow it looks like it's changed a LOT!

I visited Liverpool last month for a couple of days and did the Beatles bus tour and it was great,I live down the coast from Glasgow and I've been a Beatles fan since they released their first single but had never been before,my kids paid for a couple of overnights and the tour for my 70th birthday and it was amazing,really enjoying your vlogs

Great to hear you visited my hometown Liverpool. Pity you're not staying longer. You should have went on a pub crawl in city centre around concert square, lots of bars and clubs and hot girls. You could have visited Liverpool Football Club, both cathederals, China town, meet paddy the baddy a Liverpool lad,museums, get the magical mystery tour bus. The ship on the other side of the river was the Irish ferry, the smaller ship on Liverpool side is the Isle of Man ferry the place where isle of man TT race is held. Great to see you're enjoying your trip becoming a true brit, touring the pubs, getting pissed and getting a donner kebab. I can laugh about it now but 20 something years ago I went on a pub crawl in Liverpool, drank too much beer and went for a kebab in berry street. Me and my mate were being served when a big group of teens came in hurling abuse at me and my mate which ended up a large fight, we were greatly outnumbered, my mate got knocked out and I had 6 teeth knocked out. So if you go for a takeaway after the pubs, if you sense any trouble, get out of there.❤

Great you had a fab time in Liverpool my home town, I miss living there so much! I've done the whole Beatles thing few years ago. I was lucky enough to spend about 4 hours with Paul , Linda and members of the Wings band, and even his brother Mike in a hotel bar after his concert. I sneakily took home Paul's champagne bottle along with all their autographs. Paul even included my name in a song, which he sang back to me.! What a night that was, I only wish we had mobile phones back then as my 35mm camera ran out of film in the concert!

Hi spencer, loving the blogs. You have shown how to 'really' enjoy time in the uk. The majority of tourists panic, trying to pack in too much in a short space of time, end up knackered. 💙

Grew up in Liverpool as a child, 60s and 70s. Seems a bit weird to see it as a tourist mecca , especially the dock area and the city centre. If I have one criticism, it's the over-emphasis on The Beatles. There is a lot more to the city than The Beatles. The cathedrals, the architecture, ferry cross the Mersey, some great parks etc. It's still a great city, but with the constant regeneration and building...like London it is in danger of losing its identity.

So lovely to see you enjoying the UK but it’s a shame your buddy and right hand man couldn’t be with you. Make sure you come back with Daniel and show him the sights ❤

The house Spencer is in is huge and nothing like an average British home .The guys a natural in front of a camera .

That venue opposite the cavern club eric's is also historic its where a lot of the punk bands used to play and where the likes of echo and the bunnymen made their name. Also the real people who oasis were "inspired" by.

Love that at 3.55 my hometown is in the background. Yes I'm a wool!, but it takes me no more than 8 minutes to get into the city, my Irish parents picked that side just...because, idk. Liverpool is home to me, and the best place, nightlife, atmosphere (and people, on earth)

That’s definitely an above average UK home. It’s larger than most with a good sized garden. Glad you got on ok with the pet sitting agency the name of which I’ve forgotten. Relatives of mine from Idaho used the same agency in January and spent a month in a lovely house in London, just looking after one very friendly dog. They had a great time.

The way to engage Daniel with the Beatles, is to tell him about the Rolling Stones and the Rivalry the press tried to create and who were better :) That way he gets the chance to form an opinion about which he prefers

Greggs doesn't offer incredibly tasty food, so I'm not surprised you found the pizza mediocre. The Mexican baguette, however, is so tasty and bloody wonderful! Greggs is more a British institution and a place many of us grew up with when shopping in town centres across the country. If you fancy a warm snack, pop into Greggs!

How does it feel to be stalked by Taylor Swift? We were in London a couple of weeks back and spent half an hour in Clapham Junction station sandwiched between sequinned Swifties going to Wembley and the spectacularly-dressed racegoers leaving Ascot.

Long time viewer. Firstly, I hope you’re enjoying your trip but I’m disappointed that you’re not venturing across to Belfast to see what us northern Irish folk have to offer! Also, I get you’re a Beatlemaniac, so that may have distracted you from Liverpool’s other icon. Sir Ken Dodd. He’s the bronze statue in Liverpool train station. One of the UK’s most legendary comedians who died in 2018. Give your boys love of classic UK comedy I’m surprised you’ve not checked him out yet! Hope the rest of your trip goes swimmingly!

You've seen some fine places. And, glad you learned from the Inverness debacle! I will lay money you will be back. Do try and do some of the non touristy parts of London e.g Richmond etc. Also, Edinburgh is a must. And if the channel does well...fk the hostels, and stay in some interesting hotels. There are still a few that are reasonable! Lastly, another good vlog! :)

Hi Spencer, did you go in the gardens at strawberry fields the bench donated from Ricky gervais he sits on in afterlife tv show is in there.also two streets from there is the church with Eleanor rigbys grave and facing is the hall where John and Paul first met,if you went to ringos house that and street facing is where they film peeky blinders.Did you go up the liver building ,also if you seen the new Batman movie he dives off the top .did you see the oasis stuff in the cavern and many others musicians who’ve been there.I think this is where you feel most relaxed if lived or had exstended stay next time👍

Just a quick note to you mate.from the 4th minute in of your vlog you are standing with your back to the River Mersey and the River has a great connection with the US. The American civil war which began on April 12th in 1861 was officially declared over on November the 6th 1865 when the CSS Shenandoah surrendered in the Mersey bringing the end of the civil which also brought a end to slavery in the US.

I have said this before but with Embrace The Suck we don't really get to see your personality. With the Vlog we do, and you are clearly a deep thinker.
