Iai Spirit Slash (ISS, hard to land counter) Spirit Reckoning Combo (brings gauge up one level) ISS Serene Pose (easier to land counter) Spirit Reckoning Combo ISS Soaring Kick (Helmbreaker) Switch Skill Swap Sakura Slash (brings gauge up by one) Sacred Sheathe Slash (uses all the gauge levels for a heavy triple strike) Spirit Reckoning Combo
You know those moments when you just get in the zone, and you start dodging and/or blocking everything, moving fluently, like you’re dancing around the monster? No matter what weapon, *THATS* what keeps you playing. For moments like that.
Lance main here. Your statement is of ignorance. On Scorned Mango, I'll use anchor counter, insta-blocks, and Skyward Thrusts. Literally can just guard bash through almost all his attacks and never stop poking with max guard level.
If you don't utilize guard advance, anchor rage, or insta block then sad to say you've failed to reach full lance potential. People think lanceis just poke poke poke, I mean it is, but it's more than that.... Probably, idk, i main the gunlance HAHA GO BOOM
I keep seeing clips like this on RU-vid showing off how smooth people get with LS, meanwhile I'm stuck at the training area for weeks still tryna figure out how LS works 😭 I used to main LS in the first few games but as the mechanics get more and more complicated, I just switched to GS instead 😂
Honestly I just play Dark Souls but in Monster Hunter: Dodge roll until you see an opening to counter and chain with regaining a spiritual gauge. The rest of the time I down a Monster Energy can and play DB.
I fell in love with this game ever since world. Since then I’ve been playing all the games I can find and hopefully They make another monster hunter with new monsters
OK, sorry, I'm an idiot and a noob lol. I just didn't have the certain skills equipped but still I'm not an optimal longsword player. The counter slash that gives you a bar just doesn't seem consistent. Can you only counter sheath attack if the attack is directly aimed at you?
A good habit to pick up would be to use target snap instead of your thumbstick/mouse for camera control. Some monsters deliberately use the camera against you like this and pressing one thing to center the monster on screen can be a lifesaving timesave. I picked up the habit fighting furious rajang in iceborne and its just objectively better for staying alive.
Wild. I use to play with the same energy in TRI. And over time I started just wanting to slash stuff. But the best hunts are those done with precision, Timing, and patience,
Shoot I just learned new thing again. I never knew we could cancel the automatic sheathe from Sakura silk with special sheathe instead. Imma try long sword again.
i have a very bad habit of sheathing my weapon right after the spirit reckoning counter/iai spirit counter for the special sheathing animation cus it looks too cool not to lmfao
Thats exactly the reason why i main LS. You can easily evade and deal much damage at the same time when ur good at it. Also you look cool while doing so :D
I’m not really a big fan of Rise but damn this gameplay looks so good and the cool extra movesets (I hope I said that right lol). I’m super jealous of this gameplay!!
How did you use two switch skills from the same slot? I forget their names but they're both silkbind. The 1st one you cam change (the launch and the horizontal one that increases your spirit gauge level). Is it some kinda loadout system that comes with Sunbreak? (Not bought it yet as only just started hub quests).
