As a 64 years young woman, daughter of a man who served his country proudly for 21 years without fail and with injury for his country, his family and the world, THIS video has proven to me, women can "GET ER DONE" too! Thanks to all ladies out there who continue to show us that having a heart and a hope for mankind can be taken on in a variety of ways!! Peace to all.....
Always will be one of my favorite aircraft ever. Great firepower, extremely durable, and can even hold it's own in a dogfight if they get caught without their air cover.
I was stationed @ the 'Bach from 8/71 to 8/73 as a USAF Security Policeman, LE, K-9 and Site Security. We were the home of the 2nd MOB, 601st Air Base Wing, and had a permanent Army detachment with Hueys, Loches and Cobras. At the end of our runways heading for Sembach village, there was a French Tank training ground that the Army helos used, to play war games in with the French. What was a real treat was when the F-4s from Ramstein would come to play with the tanks, in a close-air support role. A couple of times we when we were off duty, we went and watched the games from a hillside. Pretty cool, I thought. I can only imagine the ass-kicking the Warthogs brought to those games. I envy you your experiences there with them.
True that goes without saying but she's not a robot & it does not take away from the well-deserved respect for the talent & devotion to duty for the nation & comrades in.arms.
impressive, video. did a walk around! no boop kie! & crew chief ?ANG¿ REPEATED! her walk around. ang. base is not air liner serviced facility, no room 4 a pair to simultaneously depart [side by side]? From Intel a1c dd214af vet - a well done video! thank you.
I remember seeing the A10 for the very first time right when they first came out. As a crash/rescue firefighter/paramedic at my USAF base IN THE MID 70’s, we had to do what we called pre-fire plans on all aircraft and buildings. So when the A10 arrived and parked on the tarmac the Chief arranged for us to go see and climb all over it. We were used to close air/ground support aircraft like the A10 but they were really just small little A37’s, about the size and shape of a squashed volkswagen with wings, so I expected just an updated version of them. When we got out on the ramp, the aircraft there was huge! I couldn’t jump and touch the wings and you could almost stand up in one of those humongous jet intakes! Not only that, but the 7 barreled GAU 30mm canon just looks fearsome sticking out the front. It actually goes almost all the way thru the fuselage too. The pilot made sure the gun and radar were safe and off, then we got to learn all about that plane. Sure was fun and I’ll never forget it! Only the SR71 ever captured my attn as much and the A10 provided a much needed respite from only seeing B52’s all the time. Thanks for the great video.
Well apparently it was first used in 1974 the year I graduated from Richmond Hill High School, Queens, NYC. An now it is 2021. I wonder if the next type will be called the A11 or will it be called the AGA fying disc. Anti Gravity Attack flying saucer.
One of the fondest memories of my life was sitting on a road near just off the runway at the Hagerstown, Maryland airport where they were made (Fairchild Republic) and watching them do touch and go's. Gave me the impetus to go and get my pilots license. Unfortunately, the Cessna 152 I learned in didn't have the big cannon in the front.
When I was on active duty with the Air Force, I served with the Tactical Air Command and the A-10 was the plane where. I was based. An incredible ground forces support plane. I also served in SAC, at Anderson AFB, where the B-52s were used to bomb Hanoi and with MAC at Dover AFB, where we had the C-5 aircraft. I only had an opportunity to see these aircraft taking off and landing, but each were impressive aircraft in their own way.

Wishing You, many many more 'Take Off's Health and Luck. Greetings from Germany (near AFB-Ramstein)
One of my favorite all time planes! THE WARTHOG!!! Basically a flying tank with really good maneuverability! Love to see them take down Russian tanks as they were designed to do during the Cold War! Not sure if they would perform well in today's modern air defenses! But she'll always have a place in my Aviation heart!
What I love about the A-10 is the fact that the politicos/military-industrial complex have been chopping at the bit for years to get a replacement in the pipeline to NO avail! This plane is just too good and with updates is still a huge component of the US defense.
Soo any other female or male can just quit resign at any time ? They’re not under any long term contract ? Yeah probably much less likely for male to quit after only so short a time ?
Thank God for her and the plane cause I know she will do a jam up job with a jam up plane watch the fuck out russia& China cause you stepping on our toes too much we will only take so much crap and don't cry when it,s over cause we Warned you
A year and half ago I was watching my parent's house and as I walked down the driveway three A-10s flew directly at me. They were only about 500 feet off the ground. I was literally looking down the barrels of a Gatling Gun. Even though I knew exactly what was coming at me it still startled the living daylights out of me. Imagine the enemy.
@@kingofbarons4125 Yes exactly. I’m American and I completely agree. We had no business there in the first place , just like Vietnam. Also , anyone who thinks we were there to destroy the Taliban needs to educate themselves. That war was to make a few rich Americans and arms dealers richer. 20 yrs and billions of dollars and for what? If the objective was really to stop Taliban we could have been focusing on the opium poppies that supply about 90% of the worlds heroin supply and about 75-80% of the Talibans funding. If we wanted to hurt the Taliban we should of had a war on the poppy fields and the US government know damn well that’s the truth. American government is the biggest bunch of criminals on the planet.
Sweet, beautiful female in an implement of horror. Heard one lady warrior brought one of these planes back with shot out control surfaces and 25 percent power during desert storm.
Yeah - people bringing up how pretty someone is or the fact that it's a "girl" flying an airplane in freaking 2021 are part of the problem. I don't need to know how beautiful the OP thinks the woman is because I can judge that for my self. I watch these vids to see other pilots and aircraft, I don't give a flip that she's a woman and would appreciate people stop mentioning the obvious because it's ingrained prejudice.
@@mikedoucet5150 No she doesn't have to be "good just to get there." She just has to do the same crap that other pilots do to get there. You have good pilots and bad ones like Sen. McCain. Stop pandering.
Ok let’s take it down a notch ……….. Women can do a lot if not most of the military requirements. “A beautiful woman” got into the cockpit and performed her job as a military pilot. She like other women before and after her are trained professionals and gender has no bearing on their ability. While I congratulate her for her achievement she has nothing more than the distinction of doing her job and completing a mission like any other pilot.
If the video was called "a beautiful man, the pilot of the world's most powerful attack aircraft A-10 Thunderbolt II." and if it was about me, I would not be offended 😄, but i'm not a pilot.
@Stephen Beck-von-Peccoz helicopters are limited in how high they can go. As they need to go higher the less they can carry. Fighting in a mountainous area means less support from Apaches. The A-10 and AC-130 really don’t have that problem. Also, all else being equal, the fixed wing have a much longer time on station and carry a lot more ammo of various kinds. Still, the Apache is a great one too but it just doesn’t have as much capability as the other two. Oh, and I have been in the two way range, just like I said in my original statement. Have you?
@@tombutcher5776 uhhh, nope. You mean the C-130. The AC-130 is a highly modified C-130 that is the modern version of Spooky. It has a 105 mm in the left troop door, and a few bofors cannons, mini guns, etc. The C-130 is still in service and is still used in the same role as when you were in.
@Stephen Beck-von-Peccoz do you see my profile picture? Those are two things I am authorized to wear all the time. So, why don’t you shut your man pleaser, leg, and think before you spew all over yourself with crap you know nothing about. BTW, 11B4P was what I retired as. I probably got more time in a T-10 than you got in a T-shirt and I was jumping out of planes before you jumped out your mama.
I always get a laugh at the pilot walk around. I was a Crew Chef on F153 at Langley and the pilots would come out walk around grab a pilon and shake it, touch the plane here and there. The pilots and the Crew Chiefs had a bond. For the 4 years I was at Langley the tail number on MY F15 was 4125 and my pilot was Capt. Dale Cook who went on to fly for the Thunderbirds then flew commercial air liners. Anyway, even though some frowned on fraternization between the enlisted and officers but we would all get together on a Friday and have a great time. I miss those days.
