At this point I've got quite a few hours under my belt of Alaskan chainsaw milling. I'm no expert, but I know enough to know what I don't like about the process, and dicking with chainsaws is at the top of my list.
So I did what any reasonable person would do. I ripped a motor out of my home made electric motorcycle and bolted a chainsaw bar to it. Voila! No more mixing fuel, no more adjusting carburetors, no more exhaust fumes, no more air filters to clean, and no more mysterious no-start conditions. Now I just flip a switch and the motor spins up with triple the power of any chainsaw I own, and it works every time. Brilliant.
This should make the remainder of the logs I have to mill for this deck project much more fun.
