A better pole barn series. In this video, we weld the pole barn trusses together. This has been long-awaited. We bought these trusses for the barn over one year ago. We used the @TYM Tractors T25 as two extra sets of hands. The Vulcan Outlaw 195 welder generator worked great. Harbor Freight has a winner in that welder.

Eight days of rain slowed us down, but we are back at it today. I plan on hanging trusses tomorrow!

I wasn't worried about it. I was gentle, and they are going to carry tons of roof load. Hopefully, we can hang trusses tomorrow.

It gives me pause when they flex, but they will become ridged once in place.

+Fabbed Fun they are wobbly for sure. The guy tells me they will become ridge after I put purlins up.

Yelp! The old tractor makes life a lot easier. Just bought Branson 2515. It sure has made my life better at the sawmill!

Coming along good Tony. You two look like you have trust and joy that would benefit a lot of folks. PS entirely your choice but think about coach bolts not screws, you can tighten them up if you ever need to. Peace & Love.

I like your videos found out about you on the harbor freight website. Thinking about getting this welder for home I'm a professional welder of 20 years so I'm skeptical but it looks to be good! Start running your welds up hill, once you get it down your welds will be allot better! Thanks for the info!!

@@TonysTractorAdventure awsome thanks again and allot of the time I've noticed guys try moving to fast because they think they are going to burn through but in fact if you slow down and let it build up it fills in and turns out way better.

After you welded the trusses together and was carrying them with the tractor I thought it was going to bend. Had me worked up Tony. You mentioned snow. Were are you located? I thought you were clear down south. Thanks for sharing. Iowa is watching

We are in West Tennessee. We can on occasion get 12” of snow mixed with 6” of ice. The trusses have a good bit of flex.

Hi Tony, I’ve been going through catching up on videos that I missed. I liked this one a lot.. I have a question though, are most implements or most of the welding that you do done on steel or is there any iron? I’m trying to choose between getting a simple MIG welder and a multiprocess welder which would include an arc welding capability for iron. I’m just interested in your thoughts. Thank you so much!

I didn't build the trusses. They had to be transported.

Nice welder. Is this unit comparable to a Hobart Elite Champion or Miller or Lincoln as far as quality or ease of use for a beginner?

I know I like it, and it is easy to work with. I have have several hours on it and it starts and welds every time.

Yep. E7018 All position welding, low hydrogen rod for general purpose AC applications requiring low penetration, can also be used on DC+
