Thank you for the reminder. You can poke the tip back to shore in order to take a run when distance is needed. Tip from a Scottish instructor friend of mine. Cheers from Lapland bro.
Well, I learned these spey cast from Simon's videos, very effective, full of dynamic,I can do some spey cast like spiral, snake roll, single ,double spey about 60feet .But I found some problems in my spey cast, the anchor doesn't get straight,it lands curvingly, cause energy exhausted. And another problem is ,when the flight is begin, the upper leg of the loop is not straight. How to fix it?
Another very good video Timmer! thanks. I’ve recently tried Simons style again in hopes of placing my anchor better, it did help but I kind of morphed or blended things to get what I was looking for (a work in progress). Like you I’m a big big fan of Simon, unfortunately I can’t do or use every bit of his teachings.
Yea I like a shallow sweep myself but my friend who had never even cast off his left shoulder threw some beautiful loops using this simple technique so I thought it would be helpful to somebody watching.
Thanks Tim, Great video, i have studied it till i know it backwards, how much off the the head is out of the tip of the rod, will it work for skagit and scandi heads?
