The relentless summer storm pattern we have been in for nearly three months will begin to change next week. High pressure will move in from the western states late next week. By Friday August 18th this high will be centered just to our west. This change should eliminate the non stop storm complexes that have been going most of the summer. Lower humidity will be followed by hot weather into next weekend. Storm chances should become more in line with what we typically see in the middle of August. This change in weather pattern could wake up the Atlantic Hurricane season so that is something we will need to watch.
