Mr. Marwa, sorry but I believe the constant issues it is your installers both for the solar/water heater and the satellite dish. You really should get licensed professionals who are well versed in the mechanics of installations and plumbing connections.

I have been watching the construction and plumbing. With my limited construction knowledge. I am not sure if the house was actually piped for a tanked water heater. Which would require separate hot water line with a mixing valve. If you are piping for instance water heater then you would most likely have one line to the shower or bath and at that point you would do the diversion for water to the instant hot water heater. So it’s important to know how the house plumbing was done . 51:26

People should stop blaming the person who installed Starlink. It is a known fact worldwide that Elon's ISP suffers from higher than normal latencies compared to fiber hence slower connection especially uplink. Just Google. The issue is worldwide. Not only in Kenya.

Another mistake you are making is to just put that starlink receiver on the roof without bolts, a strong wind will blow it and it fall all the way to the ground and again you'll complain

Starlink dish should face southward in Kenya. So place it in front of the solar water heater. Max upload is 20 mbps. Latency is poor for now 100ms. Service will improve as more satellites are launched.

The water heater needs to be filled entirely with water, actually the source from the water tower is lower than the solar heater, leaving the waterer heater exposed to sun will damage the heating elements underneath the glass

Starlink does not work well in Kenya. From the beginning of the launch. Everyone has issues. Would be good to hear what others have experience in Kenya before any changes or purchase.

Just my humble opinion Marwa, please get proper professional plumber and technician to fix your water and Internet. They can work but you'll have to get the right people to do the job. You will keep paying money to do things which cannot work because those people don't have the knowledge to do a good job. My firm opinion.

Starlink is also weak in California if you are in the mountains. Try different areas, and sometimes it catches a satellite.

The issue is not the installer. Anyone can install Starlink internet. Its just like knowing how to operate a shower. Anyone can do it. The problem is high latencies which Musk himself has admitted. I think they are sending more satellites to address this problem. Till then, expect slower statlink speeds compared to fiber.

Starlink is satellite based. Meaning it doesn't matter where in the world you are. So it was clearly not installed properly.

@wholeagain Not where I come from. I'm in Zambia, at first people were getting it wrong with installation, the moment people realized it and resolved at calling on people that know how to do it, it's all good. I use it and the guy who did the installation did a good job

Marwa, the problem with your solar heating system is low pressure. You need to install an overhead tank or a pump to increase pressure.

Marwa ,when cement doesn't hold during rendering , mix cement only with water into a bucket and with a paint brush wet the area to be rendering, that should help to get job done faster.

If you want faster uploads you already have it in place, Steve J1 installed a few modems in your home use the one down stairs and use a Ethernet cable from your Laptop/computer to one of the open modems ports ( this is called hardwired) and you will see faster uploads all WiFi connections are slower that when you have a physical connection to the network. Starlink wasn’t made for streaming just yet so the upload speeds being slow is normal until future updates from what I understand. It’s mostly for connecting to the internet where there is no possible internet connection. If I were you I would continue with the normal WiFi and when you go on trips in remote areas you bring Elon along with you..

Upload speed for Starlink especially in Kenya is approximately 10mbps. Download speeds are as fast as 216mbps

Sounds like you need someone who is familiar with setting up starlink, there might be some sabotage as well since the internet service you had relies on supplying this service to all the village! Get an expert and stop relying on people who profess expertise but have no credentials to back up their words! You believe in too many people who make sounds with words, but do not have any credentials!! The biggest lesson you need to learn is to start dealing with only credentialed professionals and businesses who are not obsessed or interested with creating an online presence!

@@Trobzanzi Well I don't totally agree with all the work in the house response, and while cost might be a contributing factor, I see that it is more because he wants to give opportunities to those who are not well known. However, now that he has proven he has helped and what has resulted I hope that he will now change and start hiring more professional and experienced companies going forward. Hopefully with Rosio pushing him the charity focus will completely change.

A marwa your hot water system is backwards. In the beginning, when you started your house, you should have installed hot water pipes in the house different from cold water pipes.🤔🤔🤔
