A BIG MISTAKE?? - LOUD VW Golf R32 Scorpion Exhaust (Non-Res VS Resonated) 

The resonator is actually genius. On my r32, I’ve got a full Miltek system “extremely high flow cats” + res and muffler. The resonator muffles the car well as long as you’re not more than 30-40% throttle. Pure VR6 bliss.

I agree and would go resonated myself as well on a R32. Not only becuase of the drone but becuase the R32 is a bit too harsh to my ears on a non res at higher revs. The resonated system has a deeper bellow to it which i prefer. I had a non-res on my corrado 12v VR6 but that came without the harshness or the drone.

I have the Scorpion Resonated cat-back exhaust with the Scorpion Sports cats, too, and im glad i did, less drone and still plenty of noise😊

Non resonated hheeft geen middendemper waardoor hij dreunt. Dat is bekend met non res uitlaatsystemen. Je zou bijv jmtuning kunnen contacteren die hebben no drone dempers. Dempers speciaal ontwikkeld om geluid niet te verminderen maar alleen het gedreun eruit te filteren. Die zou in je uitlaat gelast kunnen worden. Dan heb je onder load maximaal geluid maar geen gedreun bij lage snelheid. Heb een systeem met no drone demper van jmtuning. Echt top systemen!!

Very useful video. Ive ordered a resonated miltek for my TTRS, i paid a lot of money to hear that lovely 5 pot symphony orchestra, in addition installing a 10k sound system.

Just bought a full scorpion exhaust turbo back with high flow cat for my polo gti cup went resonated for the reasons you listed also about non res. Obviously wouldn’t be as loud as a r32 but still

There MUST be something that we can do with the drone!!! Soundproof the car? Wrap the exhaust in exhaust thermo wrap?

What you really should have done is, a simple resonator delete on the stock system & then perform the simple flap mod on the rear box! This I’m afraid sounds a lot better then the system you have installed here. Sounds a lot lot better than this system. Cost would only have been around £80..

Cool video, ik heb zelf de non res besteld voor m’n 3.2 TT, ben gewend aan mr2 met 3” uitlaat. Heb je ook de headers vervangen? Want dat ga ik ook doen

Bedoel je dat deze uitlaat helemaal geen demper heeft? Heb deze uitlaat zelf mee gekocht samen met de auto, en de uitlaat verwijderd de middendemper maar heeft nog steeds een einddemper. En heb je een complete andere scorpion uitlaat gekocht? Of een deel?

Too drastically reduce drone and keep the loud exhaust you will need to fit sports cats as the restrictive stock cats are what causes the drone.

If you’re keeping the exhaust are you going to order a resonator to drop in to hopefully save some money opposed to just buying another exhaust? Unless you can return that one.

A mk6 R exhaust bolts straight in and has no resonator. A cheaper option...

I have both, so i know how loud it is, i only use mine for short trips so i do not care , as for your car rattling ?? mine makes no rattling noise , Jordan has the right idea, mine come free with the car so it makes no odds .
