One critical thing you may want to talk about is how to build motivation or mental energy for gig economy in the first place. I think many of us atleast in India are not wired to work whatever under the sun, like preparing a hotel menu. It isnt really about aptitude or comm skills always, it simply doesnt feel sexy and vibrant, and as a man, it can feel worse as it simply wont feel good talking of it to relative or family. That sort of thing is an is an instant turn off and it wont even fire the brain to think hard. That's a core issue to be addressed. Because if the brain does not get a rich sexy image of the self doing a work, it would not be able to be very smart in that field either. Doing a corporate job isnt just about money, but it feels high status if one is in manager or director level, especially if there is also a good college tag attached.
Indian Govt should start the western world system of work on hourly basis. The quality of work and wages related to work will improve quantumly and workaholics will try to do 2-3 jobs together. Payment should be done based on hours worked daily.

I need everyone's opinion here- I have two finance degrees from reputed institute and will start third one in sometime. In long term I had a view of becoming specialist in my field. But when I look at your opinion of gig economy, there will be lesser and lesser jobs requiring this specialist deep knowledge, what should I focus on, gain 10 other skills or be master of 2. (I am specialist in analyzing complex securities)
Not necessarily. If with specialist knowledge , you can do freelancing, what's the problem? But yes, even there, out of box thinking will be necessary. One has to learn not just the subject, but economics, math even coding because all sorts of additional skills could be required depending on the project.
If you have the specialization go for the job, yes gig economy will increase in future but there will be always corporate full time jobs. I think it will be easier for you to work in a JP Morgan or Wells Fargo analyzing securities and get a good fixed income of starting 50 k to 1L depending on how good you are and then it increases later. If you work for 2-3 years and dont like it you can always start your own fund or consultation business on securities, you'll also have the clients from your job if you deal with any. You working on the job will add more to your experience then any degree because syllabus is always 2-3 years behind real world, start working now if possible because companies dont hire if you are over qualified as well and even you wont feel like accepting average salary. Working now will also keep you interested long term because you are getting paid now will motivate you further.

You can tie up with big organizations for projects. Many smaller organizations that I see, they take up the projects of LTIMindtree, TCS, Infosys etc. and earn from there. It's still better than working in those organizations.
Work processes and procedures are time consuming and tedious otherwise the work will be accomplished and there will be work life balance which organisations do not want. There is no work process and system alignment also.
