Love your video. First timer. Those birds chirping manage to divert the awareness of the heavy Motorway traffic. The very slow pace of travel must be good for people who need to unwind, if you can get to that level of acceptance.

There’s an Indian corner shop/off license 150 yards to the right behind the second pub (were the children are crossing the bridge to school) which sell the best homemade samosas I have eaten

Some fantastic reflective footage, the colours are great. Just done a vlog of my journey down the Trent. For some of the facilities you need a code which didn't have you have to get it from the lock keeper when on duty. Thanks Phil always love your vlogs.

Well done Phil, nice video. Nice journey, good commentary, lovely. The only thing that we think is missing is your closing gates at the end with that wonderful music and the cat.. You probably think us a bit fussy but we love it. Ian and Angie.

Thank you. I decided to drop the end sequence as the youtube analytics showed that many viewers clicked away as soon as the music started - and therefore didn't see the end screen pop-ups.

Very relaxing, unlike ours which tend to be a bit frantic. I am looking forward to see how you manage Pendeford Narrows on your own. I have panic attacks and there are two of us with radios. :)

@@NarrowboatJourneys Also known as Pendeford Rockin. Roughly between Calf Heath and Autherley Junction on the Staffs and Worcester.. Judging by your progress, I thought you would have been through there by now. Perhaps you just breezed through without meeting anyone coming the other way lol.

I watch a lot of you tube videos about the canals and I must say you are at the top of my list, your videos are true to life and very relaxing. Were you one of the flower power crew in the sixties and seventies? I bet a lot of the true canal boaters live the hippy life style.
