I'm on my 2nd bottle of the bourbon, haven't crack the rye yet. Fortunately enough, I was able to get their DO batch 2. They used to have a sour mash, but no longer available.
Some fantastic stuff they're putting out, IMO. I can see why people have thus in their daily rotation or on their bar at all times. Cheers, and thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🥃
I have to admit I’m not a fan of the bottle shape. Same with the pot still hard to pour and takes up too much space on the shelf. Good juice though I have to order from seelbach to get it. Still not 100% it’s all their stuff not that sourcing is a bad thing just saying.
Sounds like a brand to keep an eye on. How do you like the glass you’re using in this video? Can you say what the glass is and how wide the opening is?
It's a great brand to keep an eye out for. As for the glass, it's the Whisdom Whiskey Glass and I love it. It has a very heavy base and is similar to the opening on the Glencairn. Really nice glass. I'm local to Americus so I'm very much a fan of 13th Colony. I really like their bourbon but absolutely love their rye...vodka & gin are good also, if that's your thing. And their price point is spot on for me, $35.00 in my area. I was fortunate to get a great bottle of cask strength rye last month at the distillery that is one of the best rye's I've had. I don't know your location but every 1st Sat. they have an open house & will sometimes have distillery only releases that can be special. Let me know if you're in the area again, would love to have a pour with you. Love your content! Subscribed. Cheers Kevin
13th colony bourbon getting mixed reviews amongst the whisky tubers..some think it’s absolute swill. I’ve had both the bourbon and rye..I prefer the rye..I think it’s overpriced at $40. So many bottles under $30 that are better.. IMHO.. thanks
I guess it depends on who's reviewing it, and if that's a profile he or she enjoy. To me, it's a great profile on both the bourbon and rye and for a pretty great price. IMO, overpriced, it's not, but pricing is subjective to each person. At the end of the day, drink what you like! Cheers, and thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts
@@mybourbonjourney you made it the title and thumbnail of your video, maybe you should address it here. I've checked other youtube videos on this whiskey, I haven't seen anyone angry about it.
