Come For the Whiskey Reviews and stay for the Whiskey Fun!!! On this channel I dive into the world of American Whiskey (for the most part) and I try to provide YOU with the best possible information to help YOU determine if that particular whiskey is right for YOU! Great review Scott. I love Found North...Nick and Zach are amazing!!! I have everything going back to Batch 003 as well as a few single barrels...Batch 006 is next level whiskey.
I have 5,6,and 7. I missed out on batch 8. I was lucky enough to get a batch 9. I need to give it some time. It wasn't the best I have had of those I have tasted so far. #7 was my favorite. Cheers
These batches can be very personal and what it is you like from one vs the other, I get it. I can be all over the map with them too. Cheers buddy and thanks for watching!
That is correct, there is both a heating and cooling element in the unit to help regulate the temp. Then, the fan moves the air around circulating. Air flow is key! Cheers 🥃
I really enjoy the Green River Barrel Proof and have done several blinds with it and both the new & old label Rare Breed Barrel Proof. My ranking has been consistent: 1st-RBBP (old label), 2nd-GRBP, 3rd-RBBP (new label). All really good options at the $50-$55 price point!
They're different beasts. If you like 95/5 rye I'd go little book. If you prefer a Kentucky rye I'd go Overholt. If I had to pick one I'd go with the Little Book, but it's a really tough choice
Loved the overholt 10 year cask strength it is so good. Loved it so much I bought an old overholt 114 today as the 10 year is hard to find but so delicious.
I really enjoy Old Overholt 10yr. I like all their offerings from Old Overholt. They are so different. From the 114prf to the 10yr to the A. Old Overholt.
You sure you were drinking the same Whiskey? It had everything to with barrel influence and the aggressive Pennsylvania rye grain profile. As I mentioned this is not your typical MGP Rye, actually it's nothing like it! You may want to revisit it! Thanks for watching ! Cheers 🥃
@@mybourbonjourney I was told by a Beam brand ambassador that the Overholt 10 year was their standard Kentucky style 51 rye mashbill with the same yeast they obtained when they bought Overholt...she said their only Pennsylvania style mashbill is the new one they use for A Overholt, which is 80 rye/20 barley. They said the biggest difference with this 10 year from any of their other rye offerings is that it was aged in one of the old escalator warehouses...which has since been decommissioned. It should be distinctly different from Little Book as this uses a single mashbill and LB8 is a blend of their Basil Hayden/OGD bourbon and 5 different rye whiskeys (presumably using all 3 recipes (51 rye/Overholt yeast, 51 rye/beam yeast, and the 80/20 rye))
Not a lot of whiskey tubers talking enough about Corbin cash. These ryes are on par with some of the best. The single barrel store picks are absolutely insane. I thought the 1917 was fantastic (it is) but it can't stand up to the single barrels.
It’s a pretty decent bourbon, despite the screw-top:). I think I’ve had my fill of it at this point though. Psychologically, I liked it more when it was hard to find around here, but now it’s always on the shelf.
I just bought this cutter on your rec. WOW what a cutter. Hefty! Now my friends want one. They can get their own. This replaces all my cheap black plastic cutters.
I’m Celeste from Cedar Brook, I feel truly blessed to have met the McBrayers. I fell in love with the history and beauty of Cedar Brook many years ago, and it was such an honor and joy to have shared it with them and have them purchase the land to bring the history back home!!!
With all the opinions around ET Bottled in Bond being different since the buyout, I could see this as an easy replacement reach. Blinded side by side and minute differences I tell you…minute! Always on my bar.
