With winter starting to settle in and the weather becoming unpredictable, using a GoPro can be a bit of an issue. As a result I thought I would run a series of these short memory lane videos. If they prove to be unpopular things might change but I wanted to do them to get peoples memories and thoughts on these old but not ‘Classic’ bikes which I grew up with in one form or another. This time the moped that ruled the 70’s, the Yamaha FSiE.

Thanks for all your praise for my Fizzy and for Mototechniks for getting it running perfectly. Back in the day I had a 1974 Candy Orange one then I traded that for a 1976 DX. It certainly has rekindled loads of memories for me and it gets used occasionally and resides in the warmth of my house and not the garage!!

My mates had fizzes and A.Ps .dad bliss him brought me a garelli tiger cross. It cost new £250. And it was dad's way of helping me start off my working life at the age of 16. Sadly he passed away this year. But they were good memories. The tiger cross was a bit quicker than the fizzes and A.Ps. but the lights were terrible, no battery ended up fitting bike lights on the rear. Ps thanks for the memories, just subscribed to your channel 😀

I didn't have a moped when I was at school, but I remember them in the 70s and I remember that the Garelli was a good looking and fast standout at the time. It was wonderful to see the Yamaha FS1E, in such good condition too.👍👍 It took my mind off my disappointment that Santa didn't leave me a Beeza on the 25th. Darcy and the old man have just done a review on the BSA and have managed to capture good sound from the exhaust, so it's worth a view!
