Nidorino is actually the first pokemon. When you load up a fresh cartridge of Red and Blue, the first pokemon to show up on the screen is a Nidorino, so theres actually a 5th first pokemon

I'm doing this hunt myself. I got a Breloom that is perfect for this, and the test run I did went perfect with Luxury Balls, around 30 out of my 60 were used and the sleep turns really help. 142 encounters is insane for a fixed full odds shiny. I'm still hunting, with the current time spent is at least a week

Got a similar story to yours, I've been mesmerized by Arceus since I was in middle school when gen 4 came out but I didn't even live in the US so I could never get the event one. Shiny hunting it (and Shaymin and Darkrai) was a childhood dream come true. I started the hunt the day the event became available and I finally got it two weeks later (Spore, false swipe breloom is almost always the goat when it comes to shiny hunting). Transferred that bad boy to Legends Arceus and took like a million pictures lol. I love my golden llama

I am an old man. I went to Japan for mine, back during the old events. Right now, he is enjoying his return from retirement in Pokémon Scarlet, basking in the sun and enjoying some churros. I was a tad disappointed when they didn't make Arceus actually gold in Scarlet and Violet, but the yellow is still nice. 🥪🗿

For future reference, you can use an Exeggutor with the ability Harvest and the moves Trick and Skill Swap and Bestow holding a Leppa Berry to give the Pokémon you're trying to catch essentially an infinite amount of PP. Also, using a Poison Heal Breloom with Poison Heal holding a Toxic Orb with the moves Spore and False Swipe is far better than paralyzing. Alternatively you can use a Smeargle. (Gratz on shiny Arceus by the way, I haven't gotten around to hunting that one yet. I'm still hunting stuff in earlier generations before they close down Bank)

I actually got mine through RNG manipulation in Platinum and using the server that has stored the Gen 4/5 events to get the Azure flute, I haven't tried transfering him yet but I love him

I did a double hunt on two switches. I trained up a Slowbro for each game. My hold item was a Leppa berry and combined with the move Recycle, I never ran out of PP. My second move was heal pulse to keep arceus from self deletion when it ran out of pp. Third move was slack off to keep Slowbro alive. Last move was yawn to max catch chance when i throw balls. I maxed out my inventory with luxury balls and spent like 4 months hunting. When it finally shined, it took like an hour and 200+ luxury balls to catch it.

Love the new channel!!! This is a great direction for your content. I can't count past 493 so I felt that this video is the closest I can get to godliness in the Pokémon universe.

I hunted arceus on and off for a solid year and i finally got it a few months ago in a regular pokeball

this was entertaining asf, and also made me realize that the bdsp arceus encounter isnt a timed event. i wanted one SO BAD BUT I THOUGHT I COULDNT! THANK YOU

Got my copy of brilliant diamond last year when the Darkrai event was happening, sat on my members card for over a year before I started that hunt. I didn't keep track of resets, and was semi afk the whole time. Judging by my registered playtime ingame and the time my switch told me, averaging about 3 minutes a reset to account for not paying attention it was around 400-500 resets.

I've been hunting for this bastard since shortly after BDSP came out on and off and I'm watching this while resetting to channel the shiny vibes. I did get a steam deck last year so I did take a decent sized hiatus but I've done it while doing dishes, chores, watching TV, I haven't kept tracks but I've gotta be WAY over odds by now.

Wow congrats! I got mine after grueling for months (from start of official event update till April 2nd of this year) and I cried of happiness. I managed to Synchronize the nature with my Espeon but had to use the Master ball to capture it.

I was SOS method hunting for a shiny eevee for a friend of mine a few years back, and I got it in 4 encounters! The extra shiny rolls hadn’t even kicked in yet!

My fastest shiny hunt was a shiny Cyndaquil in HeartGold. I wasn't even keeping track, but it had to have been only 150-200 resets.

I've probably already known this now , but u don't have to catch every pokémon but u just need to have seen all 151 them and unlock the national pokedex to unlock arceus

I just started this hunt... and after watching how excited you are when you got shiny Arceus, and after getting shiny Rayquaza in Shining Pearl earlier this week, I gave you a new sub! Going for Arceus in my second Brilliant Diamond run right now with a Breloom I built with Max Special Defense EVs and a Bronzong that resists Future Sight just in case Breloom gets crit. I also love your Mismagius strategy since that's my favorite Ghost type.

I have successfully caught a Shiny Arceus on my Brilliant Diamond file as well. Here is the Pokemon I used. Breeloom w/Poison Heal. • Spore • Swords Dance • Flase Swipe • Bullet Seed When a Pokemon is sleeping it has a higher chance of being caught, so that’s what helped me catch it in an Ultra Ball. Breloom has become my ace Pokemon for capturing Shiny Pokemon in any game I can use it in. Also took me 2,488 resets for my shiny Arceus. Thanks for sharing your experience Glitch. 😊

AAAYY!! Congrats for getting Shiny God! i got mine weeks if not months before The Teal Mask and it was at my side during said DLC, and of course it will go to The Indigo Disk too. Favorite form would probably be the Dark Type one. It took me only 10 days to get it, even if i only tried to get it went i came home from school. But man at the end of those 10 days you start to only hear Dodogyuuun....

i bought a used heart gold copy, soft reset THREE TIMES, and got a shiny chikorita, said fuck it lets random encounter hunt for the first time ever too, got a targetted shiny hoothoot in 141 encounters, not even an hour. ive also gotten another shiny chikorita in 530ish resets and a ahint tododile in 2 hours on 2 ds

Massive preparation, i just took one random Pokémon, a masterball, and it took me 15 reset. Now is doing 6-7 stars raids on Violet.

That is crazy luck. My hunt was over 8300 resets, over 130 hours! congrats!!

Took me 200 resets to catch that shiny arceus. My actual first shiny hunt. I'm glad to see a video on this lama

I spent 22000+ resets t try to Shiny Dialga over eight months. I don't know exactly how many because I stopped counting at that point. I couldn't take it any more and gave up to move onto shiny arceus and learned RNG manipulation to do that instead. It was my first full odds shiny hunt, and I promise you it will also be my last. I cannot put myself through that again, and the RNG manipulation was WAY more fun for Arceus anyway.

Arceus was my favorite hunt and such a cool Pokémon, managed to get him under 150 resets

I actually got shiny starter mudkip in oras the other day, it was ab 500 ish encounters I wasn’t really keeping track but around that number

I got mine at 3,806 encounters and already planned to use a masterball on it. took about a month and a half to get it. but with those odds it was a pretty low amount (compared to my other hunts).

Cool Hunt! I was Pokéradar Chaining in X and Y and on 1/3855 odds I found a Shiny Patch of grass that had a Shiny Bunnelby in it! For reference, the best odds for the Pokéradar are 1/200, so I lucked out with this hunt.

"is there a shiny pokemon that you got under odds?" I did celebi in pokemon crystal, the odds in that game are less than 1/8000. Got it just over 1400. i knocked my cup of coffee over when i saw it.

The perfect Pokémon to face Arceus with is Spiritomb, and here is why! 1. Resistances - Spiritomb is a Dark and Ghost type Pokémon which makes it immune to Hyper Beam (Because of its Ghost typing) and Future Sight (Because of its Dark typing). 2. Moves - Spiritomb can use a move that forces Arceus to attack with the previously mentioned moves (which have no effect on it), and the move to use on Arceus is Taunt, a 100% accuracy move that only allows the Pokémon it was used on to lose the ability to use status moves (like Recover or Healing Wish) for two turns, in which you can start dealing damage to it (Or you could just use Hypnosis on Arceus, which Spiritomb learns at level 55).

I am SO jealous of your luck. Mine took 3 months, 105 hours and 6336 encounters!

I hunted arceus twice. First time took over a year, second took about 5 days. (Also you were my top Spotify artist this year)

11:23 I don't know how i noticed that, but i got a wild shiny Floette in Pokemon Violet WITHOUT Shiny Charm or any sandwiches

For future hunts i feel you should know that bringing a combo of pokemon that knows the move trick/bestow and has a leppa berry and a pokemon that has the ability harvest and the move skill swap will allow ur target to never struggle to death(i personally use rotom and kanto exegutor bc they can repectively learn thunderwave and hypnosis plus they can be transfered trough home so u dont need multiple pokemon just 2😊)

5:18 I knew you were big on remixing Pokémon music but I didn't know you did live playthroughs too. I'd have liked to watch your gaming exploits. I just wish I knew what medium or account you have those on. As a side note, you could just buy Thunder Wave TMs from hikers in the Grand Underground, specifically those wanting small spheres.

I started my hunt for this a week or so ago and got it in just a couple days also. Threw 60+ luxury balls before struggle, had to use master ball as well

There is one more method. An in game event. From the original Diamond and Pearl. It can be accessed through the void glitch. that item was never released. But it does make the transfer to home.

Congrats! At least you had a Master Ball to fall back on, I'm jealous lol. The first time I encounter shiny Arceus (sigh), despite throwing Timer Ball after Timer Ball at it with 1 HP and while it was asleep, it Struggled itself to death and I missed it. That hurt. I did end up getting it the second time, again in a Timer Ball. Don't waste your Master Ball on regular Dialga, people! lmao
