7:50 The ability that makes others unable to move is called Reverse-Flow Control, and Baam actually learnt and used it in season 1, when Quant (red-haired ranker) showed it to him during the episode where Hoh (the guy who killed himself) threatened Rachel.
@@user-qv9cm9wz7d It's almost impossible. Season 1 was the visuals aren't the same and now it looks like time-stopping in other animes rather than body paralysis. For most people it's been four years too although for them it's not been that long so they had better chances than not, they kind of did remember vaguely in the end.
well it's a slightly different ability. Reverse flow control was the basic ability that Baam learned in s1, but he had to use his own shinsu and project it at another person as an attack. It wouldn't work if he missed, which happened in s1. What he uses in season 2 is kind of an upgraded version, where he manipulates the other person's shinsu inside their own body without having to connect or touch them. This explains why the graphics are different and why he is essentially able to freeze someone in time without making any motions.
Okay but the anime actually explains this pretty badly, I’m a big fucking fan of the manhwa but even I forgot what that was for a minute when the episode premiered. Like, it’s absurd how badly the anime explains this
31:17 Fun fact - this translation is an interpretation and doesn't line up with the original sentence from the manhwa. In the manwha, he says "The prince of Jahad passed our test. As FUG wishes." As of now, no one knows for sure who the prince of Jahad is, although most people speculate about it being either Ja Wangnan (whose name means something along the lines of "I am prince" backwards) or Baam.
I mean, the show cut to Wangnan in the first ep of the season when the princess said something along the lines of "the prince of jahad has shown up" so unless that's intentional diversion, it's him
I was pretty shocked when Augusgus said it was Wangnan that they'd planned to have pass here. Does the original Korean actually say the Prince of Jahad? The translations I've read only said that it was The Prince (not specifying 'of Jahad').
I don't know why the anime left out how Wangnan and friends actually won the game but in the webtoon, after Viole inserts the connector, the game administrator announces that he has won. But after a short pause they announce that Wangnan's team has also passed. This is because Wangnan tricked Viole and passed him his own connector. This allowed Wangnan's team to claim Viole's room, ultimately winning them the game. It's minor but lets you know more about Wangnan's wit and character.
ah also you commented on how he said "close the door quickly" right after opening it himself: he did say "close", but what he should have said is "lock" because only one with a remote from that same room can lock a door so since it's not his own room, closing the door in itself is not enough :D
No matter which floor a Regular is from, they all start from the same floor (the 2nd floor, where the majority of season 1 happens).

31:10 If you remember from season 1, Yu Hansung, the test administrator from the second floor with long blonde hair was called “the deep sea fish/the submerged fish” when confronting Lo Po Bia Ren (riceball/sheep looking guy working for Jahad)
The way i took what the administrator said to whoever he was talking to was that FUG, for whatever reason, wanted to provide a test to Wangnan and see what he does. I don't think Wangnan is aware of anything beyond that, or secretly with FUG or wtv - again, as of now, now, not sure
I don't remember if they cut it out or if they didn't explained like in the manwha but in season 1 Bam learned how to stop things (he's not stopping time) from Quant (red-haired ranker) in season 1, that ability it's called reversed flow control. Saying Bam learned it from Quant is wrong tho, because Quant explained it to him as a desperate attempt to solve that situation from that arc since Quant at the time couldn't use his abilites, Quant knew that there was no way for Bam actually to do it because it took Quant years to be able to master but Bam did it on his first try.
I have to say that I noticed how they censor the Nia scene (the kid who died), on the manwa they showed how he was basically beaten to death and even his body afterwards.
15:32 I’m 100% sure the closed captions mistranslated this. It should read “when his test began” instead of “when the test began.” It’s a tiny thing but that one word does make the rest of the sentence a lot more cohesive.
since you asked about the time stop ability: yes, the red-hair proctor (quant blitz) used it on bam (which he then learned off of that), and it is actually an ability every ranker can use it is called reverse flow control, and it's basically incapacitating the opponent by pouring shinsu into their bodies which they then cant control if youre strong enough compared to them so its not really a time stop ability or anything, but they changed the sfx/vfx in s2
Love: yelling about how FUG are sadistic and untrustworthy Augustus: showing how corrupt he is by siding with FUG Crunchyroll: "Clearly, this is a comedic scene"
Just for reference: In the strength test where Baam scored 134k, Love scored 13.2 million points with a light punch. If Love was actually willing to kill Baam and allowed to use all of his power (the power he can use is restricted here), Baam would have been done for in an instant.
Also, that dude staying outside the little girl's room to protect her was so precious and I really hope that man doesn't lose any more people that remind him of his daughter 😢
Even Wangnan thought Nia was a girl most of the time. In the manhwa they walk to the bathrooms together and Wangnan is surprised when Nia also goes into the men's room.

It’s never really stated explicitly how, but Miseng and Goseng are related in some way, but they are probably not sisters. Most readers guess/assume they are cousins or similar. 🤷♂️
"there were three options" there weren't really any options. The "options" given by FUG and mentioned by the directors (like failing all candidates, passing one, etc...) aren't specific rules that Viole has to follow, they're just examples, examples of missions given by FUG to Karaka, the previous slayer candidate (who now is a slayer). They actually have no idea if Viole was given such a mission or not, they're just speculating based on the behaviour of the previous slayer candidate. For all we know, they're completely wrong and FUG didn't give him any mission beside climbing, and Viole is failing everyone of his own accord. "He's working with them" Nia (who is a boy xD), has been working with Lurker's company long before he met Wangnan. Basically the delivery guys are plants to track debtors who run away (just like Wangnan did, that's how they found him in Episode 1). So when a debtor can't repay, they tend to run away and find another apartment. But if they still order food from the same restaurants, then the restaurant and delivery people can rat the debtors out to the loan sharks. That's also why Nia gave a coupon to Wangnan in Episode 1. A coupon for a cheaper meal or a free item almost ensure that Wangnan will make an order again, which will allow Nia to find him and sell his location to Kim Lurker and his boss. All that being said, I am shocked how incompetent the anime's storytelling is. We've spend two whole episode on a single test and they didn't even include the reason why Wangnan's team succeeded. They didn't even explain how they won, that's insane! Other probably told you but Wangnan basically tricked Viole and gave him the wrong controller so Viole accidentally formed a team with them instead of ending the game with the controller that would let him win alone. It's however possible that Viole knew what Wangnan was doing and just gave up on failing them all after listening to Wangnan speak.
😍Dani🥰I get home, Soo, have her sister and their friend over. I embraced her, while I was talking to her, I noticed a bruise on her left forearm. I asked her, what happened? Juwonee, said. “I told you he’d notice.” Soo, said. “Don’t be upset, I bruised myself.” That was the dumbest shit I ever heard, so I thought. She told me, how she slept on her arm and it left a mark. Juwonee, said. “Troy, we bruise easily. Nobody touched her. It’s just a mark not a bruise, it’ll be gone in a little while.” I’m calming down now. I was standing there with my .357 automatic in my Dior bag, waiting for her to give me a name. On Jaydo. She asked me, if I got her some more Hershey’s bars.🙄I gave them to her, I had to come smoke. I don’t like being around her when I’m annoyed, upset, irritated, etc. On BD.
