A Bullet In The Ballet by Caryl Brahms & S.J. Simon; book review 

This was a really fun little crime/Mystery in an old penguin 'livery'. First published in 1937, the reading experience might feel unusual to people who read predominantly modern books and the humour may be difficult to follow at times (it was for me).
I did really have a lot of fun with it however and would recommend.
