For $15 more I'd give an American in Texas a job assembling a compressor from a percentage of foreign parts. I would "like" to think other Americans would consider the same point and purchase items that "I" work on, even if it costs a little more.
Great explanation, we are in South america and do the same, we support 100% what this video are telling you, Tested buy us and our costumers too. Good luck and be Smart!! Don't pay more for the same product.
That's why i buy NOS(new old stock). I just bought Honda made but boxed as car quest, brake lines for my 1990 Prelude. I bought 2 front and 2 back. 2 fronts had date stamps on them, 1990 made in Japan. The rears dates were 1992 made in China. I compared the differences and they are minor. The Japan made lines of course had tighter tolerances, better finishing and coatings, better lettering and the rubber seemed better as well. 30 yo brake lines looked like they were made yesterday. I paid 15$ each for them lol. Honda wanted 89$ each roughly 5 years ago before they stopped making them or selling them at least

Sadden WAS manufactured Japan but put together in China, but when Japan had the natural disaster and nuclear plant explosion it was all sent to China, I've been fitting them for years, haven't had an issue where it was made.
When you talk about mounting a compressor upside down with the ports underneath, that is not good as the oil drains from the compressor through the ports into the hoses. So when the compressor starts up it is starved of oil isnt it? Also in my opinion only some Chinese produced items are poor quality and some are excellent quality value for money. It's difficult to know what you will get when you purchase from Chinese company that manufactures. I guess time-proven products are good but it is still a risk if there is a problem with the product. I am thinking of buying a Vevor compressor as even their casting is better quality than Sanden on the casings. So I guess the internals are well made as well and the reviews are good. Chinese can be good I agree. Cheers
every sd5 I've seen was Singapore so I would have no problem with Chinese. a lot of Japanese parts are made in china now and they still have Japanese quality
One is made in Singapore ones made in China lmao. There all Chinese compressors! Now there are some shady fly by night china knockoffs out there as well.I had a sd508 clone last one summer and it got so hot it blistered the paint and never quite cooled right. I have another sd 508 clone from a different company on the way. Why because i dont have another $100-200 for one labeled Sanden. Hopefully my replacement is better.
dont be mad at the chinese for manufacturing, Be pissed at YOUR government for pushing all manufacturing overseas with excessive taxes and suffocating regulations. Economics 101
how about maximize the company profits so the board of directors can fill their pockets with your money? I'd rather pay more than have the darn thing fail right after I installed it - this includes brand name cheap alternative to their high quality product but still bears their name. hmmm! it's a mess! Still go with the Japanese products that bear their product genuine brand name.
