My wife and I went to SXM for our 25th Anniversary and like the narrator said,"Some came for a week and spent a lifetime". We met a couple in Grand Case, from Texas, that did just that. We went back 3 more times and I still dream about it to this day.I hope to make it down there again before I die.
Just found this video and loved it. SXM is like my second home. Was there in November and heading back next Tuesday for 16 nights. Been to St Martin more than 30 times. It’s an island that once you visit you can’t wait to visit again.
St Maarten is my favorite island also I’m trying to get back there soon !!!! I feel like just staying there maybe try living on a beach or a deserted bordello lol 😂. Special vibe there that I felt the first time I came !!!
@@KevinLugardo well i was a kid back then so idk how expensive it is and it was 11 years ago so alot of prices have changed. But i do remember that one of the reasons we moved away was that it was starting to get too expensive. But maybe you can find it online. If i could choose any place in the world to live it would be there so i hope for you that it is possible
It is my favourite island. I Was there 4 times. During two cruises and two times we did all inclusive packages - Sonesta Grey Bay Hotel and Sonesto Maho Beach Hotel. I miss this island big time but I plan to return, hopefully soon. This Covid 19 messed up everybody's plans Awesome video too !!!

Excellent video! The island has something for everyone, especially if you're a foody. Some of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. I was last in St. Maarten two years ago. I was passing through on my way to Anguilla. There was still a great deal of hurricane damage from 2017 visible. Can anyone tell me how they are doing now? Is the airport back to per-hurrican status?
Unfortunately, Irma devastated this island subsequent to filming and many of the businesses featured are no longer in operation. St Maarten, however, is on its way back but has lost some of its luster. Best way to help St. Martin is to come to St. Martin and tell all your friends.

4:16 - That´s JOHNNY....the tourism guide !!!!!! We went in September 2012. Not even strong winds, just sun...we were blessed. Because of the low season, the island was not crowded and we got promotions and discounts everywhere. Nick Maley, AKA the Yoda guy, did not charge us to visit his museum. (What a guy !!!!) I've got discount to buy me a new gold wedding ring. (My wife had lost mine) Discount to buy clothes and a PSP. We paid an excellent price for a Jet-Ski ride and the owner just let us play at will on his water trampoline. GOD...how i miss this place !!!! As for this little one on my shoulder...it was in St.Maarten medical center that we knew she was coming. heheehehehehh
