@@JumpShotHD You are underestimating just how lazy a LOT of people are. I have had over 12 room mates. None of them cleaned. Ever. They would literally leave crap every where and eat out of dirty bowls with old food still in them. I can't stand flith and when I first moved in with an old room mate who was a friend, I started cleaning. I cleaned the crap out of the floors and walls. They asked if I painted because it went from brown to white... There are a lot of slobs out there. I thought the standard of being super clean was normal due to my mom and I always thought it was weird on how often we got comments on how clean the place was growing up.

@@Dwd63 I grew up on horror movies, and I’ve also watched crime scene cleaning videos… plus there was this era on Facebook that was showing me real people being decapitated so…. Yeah actually be concerned. I’ve done all but create a rug like this myself

I'm guessing it's an old rug from before red dyes were color stay. It was probably excess dye more so than losing dye

@@microwavedmetal rust can accumulate in rugs, especially thicker ones. It can come from shoes, clothes, objects in the house, the house itself, etc.

I was wondering this myself. If the cost of this cleaning was less than the cost of the rug then this guy is seriously undercharging, though there is something to be said about the long term cost of disposable living. Also, how many cleanings will this rug survive? Finally, how much water was used to clean this small rug, and does this water get recycled?

My mind goes to dye for each carpet… the water is colored but so “clean” . Maybe this is a rinsing and finishing step.

After watching this, I looked over the rest of the videos for this account & learned what his channel is about. Still crazy that this rug looks EXACTLY like the one I have in my living room! I asked the same thing. He reuses the water he uses in each project. He has a filtration system to get it clean so it saves him in water costs

I think it's got some extra strong detergent in the watering can to get it soaking and loosening up the dirt.

the purpose of the soap is top bond with oils in the fabric, and its normally ideal to take as much of that out as possible as early as possible when cleaning

Most of the time they find them in the trash, on the side of the road or at the dump.

There is a chance that the rug was in someone's house during a flood [either water seeping into a basement as snow melts, rising riverbeds during wet seasons, etc] or they could be from dumps or on the side of the road like the other peep said
