Now that I’ve finished my run as belle, I can say I love how beautiful this song is, but it’s hard because of how slow it is, to avoid awkward nothings, the notes have to be long. It’s hard to sustain them and get the balance between clear and into vibrato

I once played Maurice, and I could never help hearing this moving song, both in rehearsal and on stage, without weeping Niagara Falls! Too bad Disney never used it on film (in either version)!

No :) if you look at the original sheet music this is the intended tempo (you can always slow it down in a program like audacity if you need to though 💕)
