This version of "A change gonna come" have been sitting deep in my heart since it came out. Tina´s soul and her voice shoots right into the core of my spine - and Roberts fantastic solo pierces me every time I hear it. This is soul. R.i.P. Tina.
In my personal humble opinion it gets no better than this, not in this lifetime , the soul, the energy, the anointed, the talent, the gift ... she is remarkable, she is the queen of whatever she desires to sing whether it's R&B, rock and roll, jazz, pop rock and so on
This is one of my favorite Tina moments, when she walks down to Robert Cray and sings to him, the energy between them was so incredible, powerful, yet so heartfelt, tender, sweet. Both monster super stars slaying this song. I Love seeing James Ralston on rhythm guitar too and conducting the ending. What a great moment this was. No matter what decade you live in, we are all praying for that change...it's coming...
This song came on Soul Town on SXM while they were paying tribute to Miss Turner. I had never heard this song before. I stopped my car, pulled over and listened to this song, while I had tears streaming down my face. Never before, and never again. How lucky were we to live in the times that she gifted us with her song.

Robert Cray, one of my favourite guitar players and singer. Fabulous Tina. The way he looks at her. Pure soul music and feeling. Pure blues. Pure blues. Moving, mesmerising ....
You can just feel it!!! A lot of these new artists on the scene is missing this key element!!! The sincerity, the soul and the ability to interpret a lyric!!!
Tina's got enough soul for everyone on here, she's blowing the audience away, she gives me chill bumps, anyone who doesn't feel this, well you got a hole in your soul darling.
Listened at Tina describe how mesmerized she was when she saw Sam Cooke. Hope this Legend knows how much she has mesmerized us. That unique, powerful voice is giving this song the real business. Can't nobody do it like Tina. Keep rocking us Queen!!! Thank You❤❤❤
The way he played that guitar and looking at her he pulled the gospel out of her so powerful and inspirational the vocals, the guitar, the choir in the background, their facial expressions the angels rejoice
I've heard many covers of this song, and I have yet to be even as slightly moved as I am by Sam Cooke's version...until now. Many younger singers fail to capture the gravity that this song holds, or truly understand why it was written. But Tina lived through all that too. Not to mention her voice just kills it.
I'm sorry but Aretha tore this song to the moon and back. I like hearing Tina's voice. This is my first time hearing this. Really good but Aretha sung this song like no other.
With all respects to the Queen of soul Aretha Franklin but the Queen of rock and roll Tina Turner tore that song up to high heavens she Sungthat song better then Aretha don't get me wrong yes Aretha Sung it well but Tina sung it best you got to give that to her y'all

I LOVED Tina's version. She conveyed a story with passion, precision, power, and pure ability. Her version was one of the best I've ever heard next to Sam & Aretha's. Tina did not oversing her rendition.
After tina passed on serious satellite dedicated an entire show to her music. I have a greatest hits and the private dancer CD but I never heard this song until I was sitting in my Jeep I had to rush out and find it but no success so I ended up ordering it. It is coming from Germany and I can't wait to get it. This song really really touched me and I've heard it by many artists before but none like this. I did get a chance to see Tina Turner in San Antonio Texas. Back when she was touring in support of what's love the woman had. in my opinion? The best legs I've ever seen in my life. I'm so glad that she got the credit she deserand rest in peace. I can't wait to get my Tina live CD coming from Germany. Because I couldn't find it anywhere and it contains this song. I'm still old school. I buy cds I do not download. Rest in peace the great tina turner
Tina just slays the song. Thank you Sam Cooke for the music, thank you Tina, and Robert for such an awesome overwhelming cover of this song filled with such sorrow and optimism.

Tina, you are giving me spirit bumps. All my hair on my arms and face and standing tall, loving you. You always come through, baby girl. Thank you, again, Tina Turner, dear.
Love me some Tina Turner! God isn't she wonderful? Just a little bit of legs, hair, powerful vocals and not to mention so soulful: you get the powerhouse of rock and roll to soothe the soul. Perfect! 👌🏽
Es realmente un placer poder escuchar esta versión con la privilegiada colaboración de nuestra reina 👑 del rock es magia pura da mucha nostalgia saber que nos dejó un legado fantástico gracias Tina por compartir ese tesoro que tenías en tu corazón
I've never heard the original one, but I don't think it can't overcome this one!!! I know she put her heart and soul singing this one. RIP my lovely Tina. I felt in love with this song since the very first time I heard it. I'll never forget you wherever you are!! 💔💔❤❤😍😍😘😘
Seems like only the greats can do this song because they have lived it. Their experiences produces the soul, grit and passion needed for this rendition and I am left tears and the most heartfelt positive vibes.
I agree with that. For me, Tina Turner and Robert Cray did the best job with this song. It's much more intense and emotional than the original by Sam Cooke. Tina knows what real pain is, she went through some very hard moments in her life. She expresses that very well with her voice. And Robert Cray's guitar solo is just freaking amazing.
Beautiful, honest version of this song. Tina puts her soul into this song; she expresses the emotion without overpowering the lyrics. Too many others belt and wail but lose the power of the lyrics. Viva Tina!
we're going to miss you, beyond words, Mrs Turner....more than you really knew. And I hope we get to see you, "on the other side". Thanks for everything.
