My first time hearing a Filipino group. I really liked their style and I thought they sounded great. I looked up the mythical creature thinking it'd be something inspirational like a dragon or a Phoenix kinda vibe but nope! A totally terrifying creature which is actually really badass to use that as your inspiration. I am definitely intrigued and would like to hear more.

What's crazy is that they sound so much better LIVE than their studio version everytime. They're pretty fluent in english as well and have a few songs written and sang in the language such as: Bazinga, Crimzone, Where You At, I Want You, and Love Goes😊 They're famously known as the Kings of PPOP and are always known for being LIVE MONSTERS AND PERFORMERS🔥 They know how to keep the energy up in concerts, such total performers. Yes, our #SB19 Boys are bold and very experimental! As you deep dive into their music I am sure you will be amazed of how diverse their music is. We Love them! I discovered them two months back and to this day I have not stopped deep diving into their music. They are awesome people too. We lovingly call them our #Mahalima.

I’m also in general a fan of fairy tales and folklore so I’m always interested in hearing about mythical creatures from other cultures. But the Philippines has some really scary ones! So I agree, pretty genius to turn it around for a positive message.

They are fire on stage, too, live singing while performing full choreo. This song is about a mythical creature that looks human by day but by night can separate its torso from its lower body. Upper body has wings and it flies, leaving the lower body on the ground. Pablo, their leader, writes most of their songs. He used the mananangal as a metaphor for staying grounded no matter how far their career takes them. Welcome to the world of our Ppop Kings!! For this song Mana, though it does mention the mythical creature Manananggal, it also is a wordplay where Mana will refer to ones legacy. In a nutshell the song implies that their legacy is initially not acknowledged in the beginning, but later on as they soar into new heights then comes the accolades from those who used to ignore them. But regardless, they keep themselves grounded, in touch with their selves. They may encounter 'monsters' or aswang around, but they do not fear those, for they have their legacy, their talents to battle those, so they can just easily laugh it off. That is for me, the meaning of this song. I do hope you contnue on exploring their songs. They have quite an impressive repertoire to cboose from, different genres, which evokes deeper meanings, at times about their experiences not easily discussed in real time. As for me, my ever favorite song from them is 'MAPA'..But do explore more, you would surely love them all. I would suggest, start with the MV of their songs if it has one or maybe go to their official lyric video, that way you get the english captions. Then go back to their peeformances on Wish 107.5 in the Phils or at the Wish USA bus. Lastly try to react to their on stage live performances, to see the choreogrqphy since they all are amazing dancers who renders such top notch showmanship every time they perform.
This was really good and so enjoyable to listen to! 👏love the power and grit in their voices and the red haired member (I think I see people in comments here say his name is Ken) has such a great deep voice. I've actually heard one of their songs /seen the MV for their song Bazinga. It was a while ago now and I had to look it up as I couldnt quite remember the name, I think I actually saw it through a reaction channel. I do remember liking that song but this is the only other time I've heard them since then and I think it was great to see this live performance and the song is quite different to the other one Ive heard. They are a self-manage group, and also write and compose their own songs, Aside from their uniqueness, What I love more about them is that they all can sing, rap, and dance. The rappers sing well too, the main vocal is also the choreographer of the group, the main dancer is a decent vocalist and rapper too, very versatile members that form a versatile group
I noticed that the Rapper was harmonizing with the main vocalist, that immediately made me feel like he knew what he was doing for sure, good for them for figuring it out, there is no guide just persistence on this.

As to standing on their own, yes, they have produced individual songs. Ken performs as Felip - songs are Palayo, Straydogs, Moving Closer. Josh as Josh Cullen - songs are Wild Tonight, Sofa, Pakiusap Lang. Pablo's songs are La Luna and ???. Stell has a performance for Disney singing Circle of Life and has performances on The Voice Philippines.
They have all different vocals and taste of music but as a group they really made it work with great messages. They are it for me after I listened them wholly. They deserve their titles such as the trailblazer of this Ppop generation.

I want to give you a quick introduction to the members here From the left, Red hair is Ken, next to him is Justin, then Stell at the center, then the Leader Pablo, and Josh Ken is main dancer, He has the deepest voice among them, he often rap, but a decent vocalist too, he has quite wide vocal range and has a pretty falsetto and runs Justin is the youngest member (he's 25), he rarely rap, he's more of a sub vocalist, he also have a educational background of visual creative, he's the Creative director of a couple of their MVs Stell, he's the main vocalist, he has a very high range of vocal, he usually the one who take the most difficult parts and adlibs on their songs, and he's also the main choreographer of their dance Pablo, he's the leader, also the one who wrote and compose 99% of their songs, he's also the one who distribute the parts of the songs to the members, he's the main rapper and lead vocalist Josh, he's the oldest member (30 yo), he looks really young tho haha, he's the lead rapper, he has a really nice expressive rap flow Anyways, they have a bright/happy vibes song too, I would like to recommend you to SB19 - FREEDOM, it has an MV, and also really fun live performance on Rappler, SB19 FREEDOM live on Rappler

it's ok for us to keep calling them SB19 until they officially change their name, what that company wants is to make the boys lost some of their popularity as people already know them as SB19. The boys are the one who not allowed to use that name, not us as fans, the company can't take any copyright only for fans mentioning the name 😅 Still mentioning them as SB19 on social media is the way to help them not to lost all the recognition by passerby and casual fans, make them aware that whatever the group's new name, they're the SB19 that they know before, if we totally stop using the name SB19, probably so much people who know them before will not aware of their new name, that they were the SB19 who sing the songs they know before as SB19 songs The main fanbases also already suggest us to keep using the name SB19 to call them on social media, I think the best way is to mention both SB19 and their individual name just mention them as 'SB19 Pablo Josh Stell Ken and Justin', everywhere. And then when the time they get their new name, make sure to spread as much as possible of their name changes, that their former name was SB19 and now they rebrand, so as much people would aware of the change, not completely think SB19 gone or "what is this new band? they look like the band named SB19 who sing Gento" 😌
I'm actually more worried of the songs that they released while still under that company 😭, we know even when they were still under that company, the company trying to not giving Leader Pablo the credit as the song writer, while he's the one who wrote the songs for the group, so I'm quite worry if aside of the name and all the deals the boys made using that name, they also do something to the legallity of the songs that the boys released while still under the company, I'm not so sure how is the laws for those

@@Killdeer25yes, vowels are also pronounced in the spanish way, with double vowels as repeating sounds. eg. "Paalam", the double a's are sounded out twice. = pa-a-lam. You already know how the vowels sound like in Spanish, and they sound the same in Filipino/Tagalog
