I like these videos a lot but I've noticed a flaw in them: the liberal allows the conservative to complete his sentences. This never happens in a true liberal - conservative discourse. The liberal interrupts, gets loud, talks over, and eventually begins insulting and name-calling. When none of these strategies work, the liberal will have you arrested for hate crimes.
Illegal aliens are human but they have broken United States immigration laws. A legal alien is someone who has entered the United States by complying with immigration laws. Nothing racist about that. The reason why the brake the law is not concern. I recently ask someone why he come into the United States illegally and his answer was there is no money or jobs in his country of Guatemala. My next question was how much did you spend to get into the United States from Guatemala. He said 3000 United States Dollars. My next question was how did you get that money? He said he worked in a doctor's office and saved his money. My next question was did you just tell me that there was no money or jobs in your country? He was silent after that.
agree,,, my wife carried on her person a "green card" actually a burnt Orange color, prob from age, the sun etc. For 20 years she carried in her wallet, this card, It said in big letters " legal Resident Alien", It had her photo from age 25. She came here legally,, did not commit any crimes, including illegally entering and staying here. Eventually she got dual citizenship ( US,, Germany)

Spain came to the "new world" and gave each country in south, central, and north America the Spanish language and Spanish ancestry (European). The wall is merely a bandaid. While I don't think our border should be porous and our border laws should be enforced... Is anyone going to have the balls to go after those hiring the illegals and creating the incentive for them to come here in the first place??? No. Not to mention there are no longer any Americans willing to work farmers fields, no matter how desperate they are. They (Mexicans) should have to get temporary work visas like every other law abiding foreign worker I know. Or if they have plans of permanency get a green card and wait in line like everybody else has to do.
You want to reduce immigration related violence? End the drug war. Decriminalize all narcotics. Do away with import/export taxes. Do away with property taxes. You'll create more jobs at home and increase the strength of the north/south american market.

The Civil Rights Act did not include provisions to end discrimination in private employment, or grant the Justice Department power to initiate desegregation or job discrimination lawsuits. Secondly, us liberals don't disagree with improving border security, its what to do with illegals already here that we disagree on. Which this guy didn't touch on.

I don't get the problem with building the border to Mexico. If there's a significant problem with illegal immigration from one particular direction, you build up defenses to put a halt to it. It's not racist, it's just good tactics. If they want to enter the U.S. and become a member of our society, there will always be a way to do that legally. [Granted, the naturalization process needs some work, but that's another topic.] After all, our nation was built by immigrants, and we welcome with open arms those that want to join us and abide by our laws. But they need to abide by our laws, and these illegal immigrants are breaking the law, so we need to protect against that.

While I think a discussion about illegal immigration is good, this video is bad. While I generally consider myself to be conservative, I think that the conservative in this video uses a lot of insulting rather than logic. I also think that the "typical liberal" in the video represents some liberals, but not all. There are some liberals who are willing to listen to other people's arguments.
