No one ever argues or criticizes or goes out of their way to show disrespect to anyone in your family. Unlike mine! That's why I love you guys plus I love Iron Chef Lee! Dad of the Century ❤❤❤❤
Hey, I live in Japan and have some recommendations. Tatsunoya (Tonkotsu flavour) in Shinjuku is the best ramen place in my opinion. They are originally from Kyushu. Most foreigners get obsessed with “ichiran”, but ichiran is completely average to be honest. It’s just got a good interior so people like it there (can get good photos ect) and don’t try other places. I've been to Tatsunoya 50+ times over the years. It got more popular recently, so make sure you get there before opening time around 10:45ish. Actually Matt Stonie says it's his favourite place too and talks positively about it. Make sure you get the ramen, not the tsukemen (Tsukemen is organ based and it’s ok, but no where near as good as the ramen). Also they will ask you how you want your noodles, you can say hard/normal/soft. I always go hard (“Katame” is “hard” in Japanese, “futsuu” is normal) and let them soften a bit in the soup. Also get a egg too! If you want to try Tsukemen specifically which is newish cuisine but got very popular, then fuunji in Shinjuku is good tsukemen, but it’s kind of heavy. Again expect a queue. If you are willing to go to one of the other islands, then Kumamoto in kyushu has my favourite restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s a steak don (steak bowl) place called “Imakinshokudou”, it’s an onsen town so you can go to nice hotel and spend time in private onsen then go to the restaurant, this one should have a very long queue, so get there early. And if you want sashimi or sushi, as you probably already know the fish market is the best place to go: trulytokyo.com/toyosu-fish-market-guide-tokyo/ I also recommend checking reviews on tablelog, not google reviews.
Jose Gutierrez, you’re lucky man to be going to Japan. Definitely on my bucket list to visit. My dad brother and I starting a savings fund this year to make that dream happen. Enjoy it man! Looking forward to the vlog and I’m size 7 1/4
Checkout a dish called Gyukatsu in Japan, it's like pork katsu but with steak! It usually comes with some different dipping sauces and egg yolk too. The best one I had was in kyoto.
I prefer ripe fruit. 😋 Tree fresh is best. My folks have apples and they are so much better than what you get in the store! If you have any left on the tree after a freeze they get a sugary core. It ruins them for storage but it's really tasty!
In Japan, I'd highly recommend the TeamLAB immersive museums. I've been to both the ones in Osaka and Tokyo but I liked Tokyo a bit better. They're nothing like immersive museums in the states, way better. In terms of food, everything is more or less amazing so I don't think it's even worth recommendations there. If it's your first time just eat a mixture of sushi, yakiniku, ramen more or less everyday then throw in some yakitori, japanese curry, and street foods into the mix. The quality of food and standards people have are so high there that the most regular restaurants serve delicious food better than 90% of places in America for a fraction of the price. Enjoy the trip and excited to see what you try!
Go to Sushi Dai in the new Toyosu Fish Market. It opens from 6am-2pm. Always a HUGE line up starting at 4am. Great for when you get off the plane and are Jet lagged! Horse Mackerel is unreal in Japan. So much better than the Mackerel we get here!
I’m not a vegan, but the vegan Uzu ramen in Kyoto was a really cool experience. The spicy miso ramen was really good, as well as the sushi. They have one in Tokyo as well, by Team lab. That one is a lot busier and in an industrial part of the city (which isn’t as nice). I’d make reservations at least a week in advance for both locations. Also if you want to see Shibuya crossing from above, there’s a rooftop bar you can go to called Magspark. It’s like 500 yen for a drink, which is your admission. Very cool viewpoint. If you go down towards Hiroshima, definitely go to Itsukushima. Super cool island, and if you miss Nara you can see a bunch of deer roaming around here too. Round one arcade is also sick. Go for the sportcha ticket, which gives you access to all the sports stuff in the arcade. Batting cages, tennis, segways, basketball, rollerblading, etc. The regular arcade is crazy too, lots of locals going t hard on the music games. Pumped to see the Japan vlogs.
Also, there’s a really cool driving range called swing himonya which is basically a top golf. Go during the day, as it gets quite busy after people get off work. They also have left handed golf clubs, which is exceedingly rare in Japan as they “don’t believe” people are left handed golfers. Good for lefties like Kai.
Bro Jet don't think we didn't see those exclusive CLB Chrome sweatpants! Insane piece! Really curious if you bought that second hand or if you were given them as F&F @7:59

Been to Japan Twice and both times it never disappoints. Make sure to never tip, they find that very offensive. As far as sushi goes it’s all amazing. Find a place that is small and sit at the sushi bar. Have fun
If you are travelling outside of Tokyo, I recommend the north island of Hokkaido! Super cool nature and secret recipe for Sapporo beer… my name is checaneeee and I wear a 7 5/8
Hard/crisp apples and vegetables. Softer peaches/nectarines etc. Mangoes should have juice and softer to the touch. Not browning or bruised. Tomatoes should not be hard. Banana more leeway however most fruit smells better when it’s ripe and worse when it’s overripe. Non-ripe less/no smell
