Love your videos, as an aside I just listened to probably half your Joe Rogan appearance and I just want to give you a lot of credit for letting him talk at you and try and impress upon you how much more he knew and not asking you anything more about what you do. I think you deserve a lot of credit for putting up with that.
Why is everybody's partner always sleeping? And why do people think this exact comment after seeing it at the top of every comment section of every video and social media post is so funny a year later? I have never once woken up my wife to watch any RU-vid video or read any article
“Imagine the shame if I crashed my civic into a crosswalk full of nuns” with the sound and video of a bowling ball hitting pins just put the most visible image in my head and I couldn’t help but laugh. That’s a really good one.
Congratulations on being interviewed by Rogan. Your work is in a league of its own. Been watching your videos for a long time. Your channel’s going to really blow up now. Congrats again you deserve all the success!
Hey Bob, former cop here.. all depends on the situation on how the officer approaches the car, multiple factors play into that for a "typical" driver side approach, or a passenger side approach. Love the vids Bob, thanks for all the work!!
Bob, I’ve seen a large Sasquatch in Cyprus country Alberta. I was 11 or 12 and I saw it with my brother on a family road trip when we snuck off to get some time away from my slightly tense parents when we stopped in at a motel in a small vacation resort spot. The creature was concealed behind a group of trees beyond a small creek just about 75 meters away from us at the edge of the human catering area. I first thought it must have been a grizzly bear, because the hair colour was rusty brown . It took only a moment to realize it was not a bear. I saw its hair to be about 4 inches long and wasn’t bear like. It was just so surprising I had to assume it was a bear at first because of how surprising the sighting was . It was sitting down and appeared to be listening in to everything it could hear from the people around the motel area. I’ve never been able to forget it. I’ve heard something massive smashing rocks together while climbing a small mountain in the Rocky’s near Nordegg , I tapped 5 times with some close by rocks and couldn’t possibly make the same shear loud noise from the unseen thing. It responded to my tapping after I did my best to replicate the 5 deep rock smashing sounds. I’ve heard other anomalous sounds in that sucluded area that we used a logging route to get into the bush for tenting. I’ve never packed up my tent and left and area ever in my life. Once it got dark we felt so vulnerable we actually left. It was near the north fort ram river. I really liked your channel.
Ive started collecting data myself and it appears they are everywhere in Alberta including the prairies. It's more anecdotal than data. You'd be surprised what people will tell you when you ask sincerely
I've seen two Sasquatch people or hairyman here in Alaska and I don't talk about it much. On RU-vid I'll talk about it, but I don't have to deal with the condescending remarks everyday.
Wouldn't it be something if the officer saw this video and realized they were the officer and sent you their story! i will patiently wait for that account.
wait .. don't you guys realize the stories are all writen by BG? what the f..ity f... ??? edit: wow - he even admited it in this video! and he doesn't know why this is strange!?! lol
@@marko0samec He takes the account and writes the story for broadcast. In the same way an author, ghost writing a biography, takes the dictated account of events in the subjects life and makes them presentable for publication in a way that is understandable, easily read and grammatical correct. Why is this an issue? Of course he scripts accounts prior to recording.
@@falstaff59 the issue I (wanna stress the I! it is something I find cringy) have is that he presents stuff as not his and doesnt offer any evidence. surely - go ahead , enjoy! I did for many many years - but as time goes by one realizes eventualy someone whos story he presents would be in the comment section elaborating or just verifying things! and this imo doesnt help with the "truth". also ...wtf was this story? but sorry - it is futile for me to write about this
@@marko0samec I appreciate your take thank you for elaborating and expanding upon your original thought. The problem, as I see it (also stressing the "I") is that essentially that any experience or story is anecdotal without evidence in proof. Given that, everything one perceives is relevant to only the individual in the moment. I know first hand that opening one's mouth without it invites ridicule and induces scorn, loss of rep, friendships, etc. So, for me at least, Bob's written and arranged for broadcast accounts of others are intriguing and thought provoking. I'm not suprised or shocked that the principles of the related accounts do not participate in the comments in this day and age. Civility in disagreement or skepticism is rare.
Hi, Bob. I’m in the middle of watching your JRE episode. I’ve been watching you for many years. I just want to say keep up the good work. Your channel has a quality that is, in my eyes, unmatched. Thank you for your work and congratulations on the exposure. God bless.

I was fishing the Naselle River in SW Washington in 1985. I had caught two Salmon in the fading light of a crisp fall day. I had about a 3/4 mile hike back to my car and as I treked up the river bank and emerged out of the woods into a large rolling pasture I saw it. In the slowly fading light I saw a large creature walking upright into the woodland 150 yards ahead of me on the same path I was taking. My mind raced as did my heart. I was unarmed. I couldn't believe what I'd just seen. Instantly i became hyper aware and between the soft rustling of the cottonwood leaves in the fall breeze I was startled by foot falls behind me. I turned and there were two older fisherman (locals) coming up behind me. I asked them if they had seen what I just saw. One asked "what did you see?" I exclaimed "I think I just saw Bigfoot!" The second guy chuckled at me and said "no young man I think you saw Bruce." It seems there is a local bear who has been eating the heck out of the spawning salmon. He had a habit of walking upright at times. Sure enough we continue on and father down the trail where the river intersects once again is a male Black Bear catching fish in one of the pools... It was Bruce. Seems he was a regular and well known to the locals.
I appreciate the choosing of an unspectacular story because that’s what most sightings are. Unspectacular yet still terrifying! Wonderful telling of the story & great art work. Can’t wait for the next one!
Black would be better. Women choosing to where white pants around their moon is akin to a person with severe IBS wearing tight white yoga pants ya know? Look up free bleeding yoga... how come a woman can have a youtube vid like that but I can't do free IBS yoga hmmm? Yes, a brown trickle is grosser than a little red trickle but that's not my fault.
Yeah, I love how people scramble to explain it as a bear whenever there is no way a bear looks even remotely like any sketch of a bigfoot. It's like with Dogman sightings how quickly they'll explain it was really a wolf on its hind legs. 😅
@@mrmaldoon8362Yeah why it became bigfoot story? Didnt the guy even say that the cop was mumbling something about "it having motor". Kinda crazy conclusion from this story would be that it was giant ape running between the cars when nothing in the story suggests that
Hey Bob, I was driving back to my campsite and seen a coworker walking up the road, and she never knew there had beeen a black bear crossed the road behind her. I never told her and she didn't notice so why scare the city girl. Seward Alaska 2000. Thank you Bob for another awesome video! 3 Sasquatch's seen and many experiences. The wood knock behind me about 2 feet and there was nothing there! I was armed with a .32 Winchester Special lever action rifle. I spun around and cocked the hammer. I thought it was a bear snapping its teeth but it was a wood knock sound, it was a very quick incident. My reflexes were lightning fast. Lol. Thank you.
This might sound crazy but so does the idea of Sasquatch existing, there is evidence out there that Sasquatches can actually bend light. As in switch back and forth from being invisible to being seen. They're very well. Could have been one right behind you and you wouldn't have seen him!
I am from this area of Pennsylvania. Here, police approach on the driver's side, mainly because the majority of our roads are narrow, hilly, and winding, where there isn't much shoulder. Secondly, I appreciate the documentation of these "non-visual" and/or "unsensational" encounters. These entities truly exist (I can tell you this with firsthand certainty), and due to this, they obviously have some interactions with humans that are relatively "normal" and not outright horror stories (though don't get me wrong, they often are).
@@nugsymalone1247 There's a site called the BFRO that has a list of Bigfoot sightings by state and county for the USA. You can check them out and see what's been reported in your home area.
I love when they guess what a skeptic would say and it’s always like “everyone was on drugs” and not “wasted tired guy tries to remember something from a quarter of a century ago.”
I can't believe you did a video in the area I am from. I'm not surprised. Me, my mom, her boyfriend and her 3 dogs heard a VERY distinct tree knock at like 12:30am one night while we were sitting around a fire. Then, years later we had unidentified vocalizations and a few months after that, I was hiking and something large was following me which then started beating its chest and grunting angrily while shaking foliage. I am a career wildlife biologist of over 14 years and have worked in multiple states and won awards from the US Fish & Wildlife and more. I have spent at times 100hours a week in the woods in this area working on breeding bird atlas surveys and other projects. I have never been more scared in my entire life than I was at that moment. I knew if I made any sudden moves, I was dead. Plain and simple. I've never experienced that fight or flight before in my 39 years on this planet but I did that day. So, before I finish watching this video I am not surprised and I honestly thought something like this could exist but that day changed everything for me.
Congratulations on the JRE episode !! That’s huge !! Hopefully many more people interested in the weird and unexplainable join us over here !! Love to see it for you bob !!
When I heard you speaking on point number four, about some who say you "write all these stories" & seemed to feel the need to defend how your content is presented.. I guess I just wanted to say - I appreciate and enjoy your style and I have felt that it's quite apparent, for me at least, that you gain your info from your sources, do your research, then deliver it in your "format", so to speak. You put a lot of time, care and attention into your videos, and it shows! I look forward to your content, especially because the way you spend time mentioning different small tangents that might pop up in your mind, it encourages thought and consideration and I appreciate that. You are an exceptional story teller. Thank you, Bob, I look forward to the next video!
Awesome video, thanks for the 30min journey to western Pennsylvania/West Virginia. It’s nice to get away from SoCal every once in a while. Very interesting indeed… 👏
I’m have been following your channel for years now and I really appreciate all the work that goes into your content. It’s well WRITTEN and extremely well narrated. You have a great gift to not only write about the encounter but telling it. As far as I am concerned spoken word is a lost art and considering it was the main way to learn for thousands of years, you definitely have this gift. I tend to watch your older videos over and over and still enjoy them as I did when you first told them. Anyhow thanks for sharing this with us. Know that you have many people who appreciate your work and what you put into these videos. Heck I could listen to you read encounters from old news papers and books.. Stay safe and thanks awful lot for reading this!!
I think that is supposed to be one of the 'Kentucky Gremlin' alien-type creatures from that story from the 50's. But I have noticed it in a lot of animations. Do people call it 'Joe' now?
Always great work! Retired police officer here (5 years city, 25 years state police), and thought I'd comment on YOUR comments about police. You and the original story teller have pretty accurate perceptions of police behavior (your illustrator, not so much, though his work is aesthetically perfect. Next time he draws a cop, tell him to put the flashlight in the "off hand", i.e., the non-gun hand. You can't do two things with one hand, and the gun takes precedence.) About which side of the vehicle to approach, it depends on the officer and the circumstance. MY default approach was to the driver's side, but if the road was dangerous and the shoulder was level, I might go to the passenger side. The officer's comment about the speed of the unknown creature rings 100% true. You learn not be afraid of "big", but you can't lose your appreciation of "quick"! I'm a huge fan of your work. Please don't let anything I said be construed as criticism. (P.S. most cop pranks are "cop-on-cop", so to speak, though we're not above screwing with somebody's mind if they're impaired!) Oh, and the reasoning behind letting the drunk kid go? Exactly 100% correct reasoning. I followed a drunk home on New Year's Eve one year (which I always thought was foolish, because it's not like you can reach out and prevent them from crashing!) because a.) the streets really were deserted, and his driver's license showed him living a couple of blocks away, but mostly b.) when I was getting ready to handcuff him (having previously determined that he was drunk, and he needed to go to jail), I felt an odd object concealed under his shirt and pants, and yanked on it trying to dislodge what I thought was a weapon, only to find that it was the leather harness for his old-style prosthetic leg! Poor guy. I nearly yanked it through his crotch. Never wanted to have to explain that one.....
@@FrostyyyEdiz if he’s a good cop I’d like to know how many bad cops (cause there’s more than an abundance) has he straightened out, reported, or even arrested. Bob dude I never comment but congratulations on making it on jre! and regarding the narrative structure of your videos I think your style is the reason I keep coming back and keep anticipating the videos you make. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Wouldn't it be amazing if the cop in the story happenes to stumble across this video and realizes its about his bigfoot sighting, decides to tell Bob exactly what he saw that night and we all get a part 2? I mean, he probably was profoundly impacted by his sighting, so is it far fetched to think he watches Bigfoot content on RU-vid? 😊
I was thinking this same thing! Let’s all hope the cop sees this and goes, hey! That happened to me! Then the author and cop get together and laugh about it over coffee.
These things cross the road in front of cars all the time. And look at it from this perspective...I go backpacking in the wilderness for days and days at at time and hike dozens and dozens of miles. Nothing in nature moves as fast as a car, at least not consistently. So after those few days in the woods of everything moving at a slow normal pace, when you step out onto a road and think you can make it across before the car, you forget the unnatural speed at which they travel. Im guessing thats why any wildlife runs out in the road. They arent expecting some big hunk of metal and lights to be flying towards them at 55mph because nothing in nature does that. But thats just my theory. And you should most definitely be proud of your work sir. Its my favorite content on the planet! And thats not just to inflate your ego. Its really my favorite content of all time.
It is a good point, but these weren't moving cars, but parked ones, and one with blinding flashing lights on top of it. Of ALL the places to cross the road, zipping between those 2 would make sense how?
@audreymuzingo933 it doesn't make sense for an intelligent being to do it at all. I've just heard so many roadside crossing stories and that's pretty much the only thing that makes sense. This situation is definitely weird, but everything about Sasquatch is weird.
Bob’s writing of these encounters is award worthy in my opinion. I’m always so immersed in the stories and really love the spooky feeling they give. So Masterfully done!
Bob I’ve been an avid listener for years now and I must give you your flowers 💐Thanks for sharing your storytelling skills are inspiring to the listeners and your Illustrations are excellent ❤
Hey Bob, did you see the comment I left about Juniper Springs around 1984? When I heard vocalizations, it sounded like Andre the Giant, that distinct sound he had when he talked. I heard a yell come from the forest that had that type of sound. My parents went camping there when I was a child. Around 9 pm, we would walk to the nature trail entrance, which was out in the forest, away from the campground. There was a half-moon bridge with a spring underneath, with crystal clear water. We would watch the catfish fight, a kind of tug-war, and that's when I heard it out in front of us. It was black out, with no moon. I remember being terrified, staring at the far entrance to the bridge, waiting for something to appear out of that darkness charging. I've never been that scared since that night.
I am from Florida and lived in Ocala for several years with my parents living there until they passed. I loved Juniper Springs and Alexander Springs along with all of the other springs in the Ocala National Forest as a place rinse the salt water off after a day at Daytona or Ormond Beach, and as a place to spread the afternoon afternoon class at the community college or to camp for a weekend. Some of the most beautiful water in the world to swim in. I was young and dumb and believed that all of the Sasquatch were in California and the NW Forest. This was just when the Paddy film was shown in 1968 on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and I watched it with my father. We both saw the muscle movement and knew immediately that it was not a man in a monkey suit and in fact, we knew that it was a type of human and not an ape due to the flat face and upright walking action. Just some memories from those days. It was a great time to live! It was in 1977 in the floodplain between Columbus, Mississippi and Starkville where lived on a soybean farm at the end of my first year of teaching in college when we were having a BBQ with a few of the faculty that I had worked with and a couple of children, that we had our first and only experience. I am not sure if the grilling or the noise of the two boys playing all afternoon brought the Sasquatch. But the scream from 50 yards away across the gravel road and the response from a mile to the west put an immediate end to the going away dinner for my wife and I as we moved back to Georgia the following week.

Hello, just writing in to say once again that you do a fantastic job putting your videos together, and your channel is one of my very most favorite on RU-vid. Thanks so much for what you do! Don't let the haters get you down, (not that I think you would, but hey, you mentioned idiots who are too dim to understand the necessity of writing... so, yeah.) We DO live in a world where "weird" things happen, although if it weren't for the insistence of skeptics that we live in a world of predictably limited options of experience, we wouldn't even have to call such things "weird". Maybe just "interesting". All the best, --N

@liam I agree yet, I wouldn't call what Bob shares as 'storytelling'. They all are legit encounters, by many Bob has been given permission, to share & write for awareness, with explicit details along with well designed illustrations.. even though a former police officer applauded his work & at sametime, gave a few future tips/pointers needed for illustration corrections.

This event took place in Bradford County Pa.. I went to the BFRO website and found that there are no reported Bigfoot sightings for this county. So now we have one.
There has been multiple in the county over past two years. I followed a trackway at old Camp Brule. South mountain and Barkley. People just don’t report especially to the idiots at BFRO.
Decades ago, I had a job that required me to drive throughout PA. A 50-mile radius in Vestal- Binghamton, NY location. I've seen some strange things, I couldn't explain. I've even spent amounts of time in Whitehall, NY. We rented a house on Lake George. But, the roads are treacherous in PA, so I can relate. Extremely narrow and steep mountainous area. Deers everywhere. No guardrails... Maybe they're installed today?
I couldn't believe it when I saw you on Jre dude , congrats. I watch your lions of Tsavo video every few months. Your channel has become so damn iconic to me.
Bob Gymlan, I love your writing style! The way you synthesize your correspondent's accounts is well suited to the visual art of each 'episode' and your deadpan delivery compliments both very well. Great installment!
I think this could be explained by a cat. Cougars are recognized as having been extirpated from the Eastern US for nearly a century (North of Florida). However, there have been many thousands of reported sightings. Some were certainly escaped captives. Others that have fallen victim to vehicle collisions were confirmed western cougars wandering vast distances from their modern ranges. I think it’s possible a few of the original eastern cougars have persisted, but the significant thing is that some cougars do exist in the East. A cougar may have “motored” across the road in between the two vehicles. Apparently it was very close to the back of this person’s car and possibly wouldn’t have been visible in the rear view mirror which they stated they were checking. Someone in the area, even a cop, might be pretty excited or nervous about seeing such a cat in their headlights or right in front of them. It’s reasonable to get in the safety of your car to check to see where it went with a light. They could be cautious about exiting their vehicle and being exposed from the direction it went. Reading Wikipedia, it was interesting to note that cougar sightings have been stated to be influenced by the “Bigfoot Effect”. Interestingly, West Virginia and Pennsylvania are also states with among the largest amounts of land that is suitable habitat for Cougars.
If he saw a cougar he would’ve more than likely said that’s what it was to the witness .The fact he wouldn’t say is par for the course when people refer to Bigfoot,It’s hard for them to even utter its name.
But then why would it go directly in front of a person? Cougars are elusive, the avoid people generally. Also if the cop saw a cougar he wouldn’t be so hesitant to tell the driver that’s what he saw. I doubt it would lead to ridicule or anything on the magnitude that seeing a bigfoot would.
@@georgehenan853 First, whatever the creature was did not run "directly in front of a person". It ran between the two cars,, before the cop got out. Second, the cop probably didn't get a look at what it was, so he was shook, because all he saw was a flash of very fast movement darting between the two cars. Third, what kind of West Virginian cop uses the word "boot", the U version of trunk. I find that highly suspect
@@georgehenan853 It’s worth noting that almost all people REALLY overestimate their ability to correctly identify things from a split second with a tiny source of light. It’s entirely possible the cop simply saw a bear, bobcat, fisher, fox, or even a wild turkey or owl. When you see the vague, shadowy silhouette of something big for a split second through the beam of a flashlight, it’s easy for the human mind to jump to all sorts of conclusions. I’ve spent half my life in the woods of PA and even I can admit that I’ve gotten jump scared hard by the shadow of an owl flying across my barn flood light. For a split second it looked like Mothman’s form until I realized what it was.
At :15 seconds in, there’s a full-on depiction of “In Search Of” w/Leonard Nimoy! Not sure if Bob instructed for that to be in the illustration, or if the artist took his own liberties, but that is AWESOME!! What a great nod to the paranormal!👍
Hey bob, this is just something that happened recently to me I thought might interest you. I’m from Long Island, New York, and was traveling through the LI Pine Barrens on the way home from vacation a week or so ago. It was fairly late at night, it had just started becoming dark, and along the side, just beyond the tree line, me and my girlfriend saw something about the size of a golden retriever. The only wild animals that size we have out here are deer, but this was DEFINITELY not a deer, and not a stray dog or something either, I don’t think. Like I said, it was dark, and neither me or my girlfriend have the best eyesight in the world, but the best way I can describe the rough shape of it is maybe lithe? It was low to the ground, almost like it was sort of crouching as it moved. It ran alongside our car (we slowed down to try and get a look at it) for maybe thirty seconds or so before it went deeper in and we couldn’t see it. The best guess I can possibly make is a cougar, but as far as I know even back in the day they weren’t really out here on the island, and I can’t really see a way one could make it through Queens and whatnot these days. Any ideas? I’d be happy to talk more about it if that would help, but there isn’t much more to say. Just my first encounter with this sort of thing, at least first one I can remember clearly, so thought I’d share it!
@@georgehenan853that’s my obvious guess too, but I’m just very confused how exactly it got here. The pine barrens aren’t exactly huge and unexplored, hell they’re partly built up in some areas. I’ve not been able to find any similar incidents or anything, so it’s just a bit less of a sure answer for me
I've been a cop over 24 years now, as far as walking up on the passenger side... not always, but normally, it just safer. gives a better view of the glove box and the drivers right hand.
I was curious if this varied by state, but I suppose it’s more likely based on the officer’s discretion? I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen a police officer approach the passenger side during a stop, but then again I’m mostly only noticing traffic stops on the interstate and within the small town I’m in. I suppose the particular situation and geography play a major factor on the approach, and obviously officer safety. (Narrow winding backroads, mountainous or hilly terrain; etc)
@tony_swirl it's 100% officer discretion, how much traffic there is. Is the officer by themselves? time of day? gut feeling? how many people are in the car? tint..
Didn’t Troopers have dash cams in 2001? It would’ve been awesome to see that video. Love the content and the artwork is really on point! Great works as always Bob!
