This Christmas surprise was years in the making. Joel’s a professional musician and his favorite guitar was stolen out of his car while he was loading out of a gig years ago.
He’s been unemployed since March 2020 due to the pandemic. His spirits have been so low this year not being able to play. A close friend found the same guitar a few months before Christmas, and I thought this would be the perfect gift to lift his spirits.
I pulled money from masks I’ve been making and got some help from quite a few family/friends. We banned together to pull the funds to replace it, and this is Joel getting it. And he was speechless.
This was a labor of love. Playing guitar is not only his favorite thing, but also our only income. I have a chronic illness and haven’t worked a real job in 4 years, So his music pays our bills. Now he’ll have his new guitar to start playing gigs again (hopefully in 2021). ♥️♥️♥️
