You have 24 hours with a RED Komodo - what do you do? 6K sensor, global shutter. This needed an automotive video!
My obsession with Porsche 911s got me asking Peter from Flat Six Classics if he would spare a day and this is what we made. The RED Komodo footage is, in a word, nuanced and beautiful.

I always come back to this video, its just absolutely amazing in every sense. The rythm, the cadence, the clean audio, the way it sucks you in from the start. Just amazing work! I can only hope one day I can film something like this.

Your first 2 minutes were visceral (in a good way) and I found myself rewatching to pay attention to the sound design. What was your approach to sound fx, mixing, and adding music? Oh, and the camera shots looked great too.

@@wcsdiaries The Komodo kit was provided by Lorne Lapham Sales and Rentals. I had a few things like the lenses and side handle. I didn't do any black shading

Style, tone, pacing all worked so well for this subject matter. Grand Prix vibes here like crazy, but something is telling me that was intentional! The global shutter I think really showcased itself nicely in how you shot this. That frenetic hand held shooting style kept those trees nice and straight lined. Image quality on youtube is tricky, but i was so into the content I didn't really give a S**T about the kamera is was $hot on. The editing and sound design choices to me is really what made this thing shine, but I'm an editor and that's my language. Really great job on this mate. Nice to see some more Kanadian talent (yes I felt like replacing C's with K's today)...KOMODO that's why.

@@TheGlassEyeTV We watched that in film school, I can't remember WHY, but it was a "study film". I haven't seen it since but the imagery has been imprinted on my mind. Back then I wanted to be a DP, but found out quickly I'm just a much better editor lol. I can appreciate the combination, the image and how they're intercut to tell a story. Well it's an honour to have you, but nobody cares about dusty lenses lol. I'm getting my hand on one of these Kameras in the enxt few weeks that i've been dying to test out with my modded Contax Zeiss lenses.
