The top of yesterday's price action went to the tick at the end of the single prints AND to the exact low of March's lowest low. The 2 points had confluence, the single prints started from the selloff as the March low support failed and we went right back up to test and failed miserably.

Every time I've paid attention to an FOMC event, the same thing as happened. (Admittedly I don't pay that much attention usually.) Stock price spike, followed minutes or hours later by a crash. Seems like an easy way to make cash (if you're not a tribal bull or bear).

Thanks so much Matt. Re: QQQ (esp. MSFT and AMZN). Current volatility and indecision continue to bring me back to Jan. through March 2000, which, inexplicably at the time, produced a double top. And, since most of market news (AI mania) is no longer exclusively on CNBC it's difficult for me to accurately compare. It just "feels" very similar. So my thoughts are beware of an inexplicable double top. Truly appreciative of your analysis. Thanks again.
I hear ya Chuck! I think the dot com boom and the GFC certainly put lots of people in the skeptical mindset. I have that optimistic approach, but will be willing to concede the point when and if the weekly trend reverses.
Although I will not be one, however, when all of the doubters do not have a choice but to get in, I think that’s when things will turn around. I think it’s emotional. I think it’s generational also. Thanks for your response Matt.
