The Behringer SL75C goes up against the industry standard and ol' faithful, Shure SM57. Both being great for capturing instruments, but why pay 7 times the price when the Behringer mic does the same job?

thanks for your mic comparasion video,, its more help for me. i got the context of this videos. and thank you again for your basic audio learning. i think shure is like a netral character,, can use to many instrument or amp, and behringer is more spesific character, if you have a mixing skill and good positioning behringer can be greatness

it would be much a better comparison if you did it side by side or A/B comparison. After hearing all Mic 1 riffs you can't tell the difference because the corresponding tone was played too long ago.

@@BandOnABudgetNZ What I mean is it's not how you record it but how you present it. If you played a short sample recorded with mic1 and then a corresponding sample recorded with mic2 it would be then where I could really hear the difference between the two. After hearing a whole 90 sec set of riffs recorded with mic1 i cannot tell what changes when mic2 comes in. It's basically a matter of editing.

Nice little trick you did there. I was thinking that Mic 2 was the Behringer and that Mic 3 was the Behringer equalized to sound like the SM57. If that's what it sounds like on its own, then it's clearly an excellent and inexpensive alternative. You could buy five of these mics for the price of one SM57.

Great review video...I actually thought Mic 3 was the more expensive Shure SM57...as I thought Mic 3 picked up the nuances of the electric guitar better and clearer...To be honest, the electric guitar sounded terrible on Mic 1 and Mic 2...Without knowing it...I actually prefer the Behringer...I'm glad I order the Behringer for myself today...!

As a microphone comparison video this seemed useless to me. Hearing all of the pickup settings back to back through a single mic compares the pickup settings not the mics. It would have been more useful to hear Mic vs Mic back-to back on a "per pickup settings" basis. The way you did it just sounds like a few kids in the garage. Unuseful.

Or… you could use the time stamps and playback bar to jump between the mic comparisons. It’s not a well known secret but now you now 😜
