Brussels Dimensional has the same antiqued patina as the classic Brussels Block paver. Reflecting the cues of quarried stone, it brings a similar timeless warmth and relaxed appearance to any project. Its simple design makes it a popular choice for constructing garden walls, steps, pillars, outdoor kitchens, and other landscape features.
A critical factor when installing any wall or vertical feature is the installation of a stable base. When installing Brussels Dimensional, we recommend using Universal base units under the first course of wall units. Universal base units not only provide a consistent level surface on which to build vertical applications but also help reduce rotational movement and differential settlement of the wall units over time due to their larger footprint.
When laying the initial course of Brussels Dimensional, ensure the surface of your base units is thoroughly cleaned. Secure the first course firmly in place with a high-quality concrete adhesive for optimal stability. The first course is typically buried below the finished grade, making this the ideal space to install any Brussels Dimensional units that have been over-tumbled or have excessive chipping at the corners.
When installing additional courses, start at the corners and work your way down the line. Be sure with each layer, to overlap the corners in a log cabin pattern. Because Brussels Dimensional is not mechanically installed, each unit must be secured using a concrete adhesive.
