“There is a dragon Starbucks somewhere in these hives and I will not rest until I see it.” Is that a challenge? Because now I wanna draw a dragon Starbucks with dragon names for the coffee drinks
" 'Scale Beverages' " "Now serving Chilled Honeydrops, Silk Net Sundaes and More! Along with old favourites, Bumble Brew, Moth Mochas and our famous Zebra Roast!"
For the bit about Luna getting carried across the ocean by her silk- I know it sounds implausible, but what I THINK Tui was trying to describe in that scene was a phenomenon called "ballooning", which is a method of travel some baby spider species use after hatching to disperse their numbers so they don't end up competing for resources in the same area. Maybe Luna tried to make a ton of silk at once and accidentally made a balloon in the process?
I love that clearsight moved to an entirely different continent and what did she do over there? Just casually, uh, *kiith* the native dragon species there.
I feel like Clearsight had a LOT of kids just to piss off Darkstalker. Imagine Darkstalker if he discovered that there was an whole continent full of his girlfriend’s kids who worship his girlfriend like a goddess.
I've just realized that HiveWings must be very inbred. No matter how many children Clearsight had, in order for the HiveWings to become a different species and not get 'blended' into the SilkWing population, they had to have offspring with their relatives for multiple generations.
@@jammingpython8986 y e a h is gonna be Uber honest, I can actually see him doing something similar to them plague wise. //like what he tried/attempted with the icewings 😭
I was under the impression that Sunstreak and Clearsight's dragonets just mixed in with the BeetleWings and 1500 years they split into two distincts species. Though now I'm laughing myself silly at the idea of just how busy Clearsight must have gotten with what turned out to be multiple BeetleWings to spark an emtire other species. Good on her. Litterally in this case. God ita probably a good thing Darkstalker never saw her again. That would be an AWKWARD conversation.
*Darkstalker appears on the continent* *Finds Clearsight* Darkstalker: Clearsight I missed you so much, let's go home and rule over the wor- I mean be together again ❤ Clearsight: Oh, Darkstalker, hi.. might have to have a change of plan. KIDS, COME OVER HERE! *Army of yellow stripey dragons suddenly bursts through the trees* Dragonettes: Yes, mama? Darkstalker: 👀
I think the reason they have more advanced technology is that a nightwing’s natural personality is an inventor, but with the nightwing’s on the main continent starving to death and therefore not having their natural personality little advancements where made While hivewings are half nightwing so they will get the nightwing personality without the starving side affects
I have a feeling that a Venomous Bite would be quite common too because in book 4 it states that Nightwings attack their prey, wait for the venom to kill the animal, and then eat the rotten corpse.
@@janea123 bit late to the convo, but that doesn't seem to be the case entirely. Nightwings seem to culture 'rot bite' in the sense of how we use to believe Komodo dragons did. Enough bacteria/viral grow in their saliva that they transfered directly into their preys blood and let them get sick and die. This seems to be supported by Starlight, Deathbringer and Moon not really having the same ability only because they eat fresh kills. I could be entirely wrong though.
Yay! HiveWings are my favorite tribe. I’m pretty sure HiveWings can technically be named after any invertebrate animal (e.g. Lady Bloodworm), but most are named after insects and other arthropods (with the exception of butterflies and moths, which as you said are reserved for the SilkWings). Also, loved your passive-aggressive deconstruction of that plot point at 6:14 🤣
Clear sight only had like 2-3 husbands in Pantala (couldn’t remember exactly) she just had a SH- TON of dragonets with them. My head cannon is that she had so many kids because of how strong her future sight was, so because she could already feel the love for them, she would be devastated if she never met them.
I'm not that surprised that wasp didn't die when pineapple melted her face, Queen Scarlet survived getting her face melted by Glory albeit she was permanently scarred
Yassss! Well I mean theyr'e both descendants of beetle wings so I don't see why not in a same vid! And ur vids r so fun and exiting to watch Charcoal! Keep up the good work! (I mean if u want UWU.) Hehe 3rd comment…
I think it’s because it’s a touchy subject, but yeah, I don’t think arc 3 handled the slavery all that well, especially when they didn’t really focus on it anyway. I wish it was talked about a bit more.
Imagine darkstalker finding out how many dragons clearsight mated with, i mean obviously he will be like: wowee such a bigg family cuz hes know peacemaker, but imagine the old darkstalker finding this out
The funny thing is all of the main villains got venom-spat at some point~ Darkstalker's eye got melted by Kinkajou, but he doesn't have a scar because he made himself invulnerable. So that's one thing all the villains have in common 🤣
@@CharcoalsDen Also, it was mentioned in book 15 that the rule about one member of the household working was only in Bloodworm Hive. No hate meant by this, love your videos! ☺️
It would be cool if Pantala had another species of dragon that was in hiding due to the breath of evil situation. Whether they're another type of sea dragon, or a different type that hid underground for the most part and wasn't seen
A note on Wasp's blood: Queen Wasp only had green blood because she'd been ingesting the Breath of Evil plant. While the rest of the tribe had all been injected with it in their eggs, the dosage is too small to permanently change their blood color, though it does affect the hue of the inside of their eggshell.
I really hope the next book really expands on silk wing abilities they could have done so much more with there antenna and silk. I also hope thry dont add to many new characters. I think more character development for blue is needed he was really only in the first book of the arc so making allot of return charaters is highly preferred for the next arc but 2-5 new characters wouldnt be bad also hope to see more of them on both continents
Welcome to Coffee Wing! (TM). Here is our menu, we now sell breakfast foods and dessert as well! (the $ symbol after the number is how many scales it costs) -Star Latte. 10$ -Roast Wildebeef Sandwich. 60$ Fell free to give menu item recommendations because I am lazy :p
One question I'd like answered: After the rare Flame-stilk awakens from metamorphosis, would it be possible for it to then touch a Fire-scales Skywing like Peril without getting burned?
I need to make a correction. Moon didnt take a drink that allowed her to communicate with the hivemind, pineapple took a drink that made him get overtaken by the hivemind.
"There is a dragon Starbucks somewhere in these hives, and I will *NOT* rest *UNTILL* I see it!" Do you not? Or is someone smuggling coffee to you? Maybe that's why your so hyper. Well my OC Hydatid knows where a Dragon Starbucks is, and he will tell no one. Sorry!
I don't like either of them because of their eight wings. I'm all for the classic dragon design with four legs and two wings, but I draw the line at four legs and eight wings. As a side note, Wings of Charcoal made a good point stating that the Pantalan tribes were always doomed to be overshadowed by the Pyrrhian tribes. Let's face it: The Pyrrhian tribes are more charismatic than the Pantalan ones!
Something I noticed while reading is that Hivewings are just supposed to have paralyzing venom from their stingers, but in book 15, when the Hivewing stabs Moon in the next, it knocks her out, even though it's supposed to just paralyze her. Can someone explain this to me?
This is my theory, in the first arc it is revealed that NightWings bite their prey and let it rot. I think NightWings might be immune to this venom/bacteria because it is in their mouth, and they then eat the prey that was poisoned with it. HiveWings are descended from NightWings, so she might also be immune to this HiveWing venom. (This heavily relies on my Theory that NightWings are immune to their own venom)
@@CharcoalsDen Same :P For real though - I've been thinking about setting up a collab with some of the big WoF analysis youtubers. Would you be interested?
Clearsight certainly made up for lost opportunities to have kids. I don't blame her. After getting away from a toxic relationship with a lunatic that happily committed patricide, I'd say she deserved a life of bliss. To put it another way, she earned a life of Heaven since she spent so much time in Hell.
I still dont get how silk wings are not powerful like- they should still be beetle wings where the hive wings branched of from them- AHFJSBHSFDSJFJSDNkajkjsd
Considering that almost every butterfly species has black on them somewhere, and that silkwings are based on butterflies, the fact that silkwings cant be black seems pretty unrealistic to me. I know this is a fantasy world, but im pretty sure silkwings should be black. Wait a minute; you said their SCALES cant be black. That doesnt mean their wings cant be black.
I don’t know 100% but I think you pronounce Pyrria as F - ear- ia Or it might just be how I spell it…(Phyrria, although it looks and sounds better lol)
