Yes, I have spoken to vance and hines about the E series. They can be of no help. They know nothing. White bros... Are they doing anything muffler wise? I'll try to look that up... stay tuned.

I had not heard of dubya before. Looks to be wheels only at a glance of their site. Though white bros may have been in dire straights at the time, v+h did a great job of killing it the rest of the way!

Since I discovered it's differences, I have been looking. And I have never seen another. If I get this right, you're saying it is a regular E series with parts rearrainged. You've rekindled my wonder on that one. I have the 2nd white beos muffler seen in this video. I'll take it apart and see.

correct! I think they may have just flipped the inner baffle around, removed (lost?) The plates. I'm curious, let us know what ya find!

If you look at :47. On your page you show, there is the "tailpipe". I believe it was an either or thing. The tailpipe would be used instead of the plates, or you remove the tailpipe and use the plates and oblong endcap. So they either have the tailpipe with the oblong cap, or it's the internal baffle flipped. The oblong cap would not be used with the tailpipe piece. Either way, I'm curious now! I've got an E series from a yz400f that I'm fixing up for a friend. The exhaust is totally shot, internal baffle pipe is rotted from both ends, all the cap screws were rotted in half. I'm attempting to rehab it, but we'll see how it goes!

@@pooleo8 My extra E series is from a junker bike. Never tried to disassemble. When I get to that I will post it here in this thread. Aint happening today though...

I figured as much. I like a some what quieter exhaust note so I'll be leaving it in. But, but... do you know any more? Like the model of that w/b muffler?

@@2manyrides but if you take out the baffle and replace the header pipe you get more low end torque

@@Camoandcoldbeer I am unschooled at the technical aspects of how this muffler, or any other is going to look on the dyno. Or what it means. With the XR's only header Kaplin motors had a decrease in power on their dyno. Check their video. With this white Brothers muffler, they've designed it to work in conjunction with the stock header. Even claiming there's no need to change jetting. I would be running an oem muffler if I had enough of them... with baffle in! I like to scare deer. As well, I have never run out of low end torque. One more rule I kind of go by... If I had a faster bike or a more powerful motor, sooner or later I will use it to get into trouble over my head. So it's a matter of self preservation in a way. I know you can beef up the 600 and wring more power out of it. James Groth, have you any more info on the white brothers muffler I've got?

As far as the pipe goes, that’s pretty much all I know about the E series series i’ve had a couple of XRs 400 and 2 650 and they all had the Yoshimura full race set up on them talk about a way better pipe

@@Camoandcoldbeer Yes, just having this muffler on the stock header makes a noticeable difference. I don't really "do" high performance. If I did, I would wheelie, I'd be a hooligan. Like I say, self preservation. Don't get me wrong, I like power! Thanks for your comments, 2many
