I've seen this. Snipes was the prison champion on life for killing his wife's killer or something, and Ving Raymes was the HW Champ (Mike Tyson style) and got beaten when they eventually fought. Snipes built some intricate, small matchstick models in solitary confinement. Wtf was the film called? Lol

Might be a good actor but from what I hear he is a terrible human being. Thomas Gibson is the same. He is a great actor in Criminal Minds but from what I hear he is a terror to work with.

This movie in my opinion would have been even better if Iceman had had to fight (not the street fights we saw in the movie but official boxing matches) some of the other inmates in the prison boxing tournaments BEFORE facing Monroe. Of course winning them all almost effortlessly but I think that would have added to the dramatic tension. I also wish the final fight had been a few rounds longer with both fighters getting even more beaten up. The fight ending early in round 4 was kind of anticlimactic. I made a similar complaint on a Rocky 3 thread that the final fight in that movie was too brief.

Ving is actually tiny in person. He looks big but that’s the camera’s effect. I saw him at an ihop in studio city and was amazed how short and non muscular his build actually was. 5’5 and 180-190lbs

I see your point but according to the movie, Monroe wasn't just laying around all day. Remember, he beat all of the heavy weights that they brought in to fight him, so he had practice. But that's just me talking.
