By popular request, here is a longer format video without having to listen to all of the intros and outros of the videos in a playlist format. As with my other cave-exploring marathon, the earlier stuff is noticeably worse visually and in terms of audio quality. Unfortunately, there’s only so much I can do in post to fix that. Later marathons will be up to the current standard, AND the regular upload will still be this weekend! This weekend we've got some cave/diving content, and next weekend a brand new collection, as per your requests in the recent post! Have a great week! - Sean

Oh, there is literally hundreds of signs saying to keep pets on leash or not allowing pets in certain areas aka near the boardwalks or by the pools. It's truly a sad tale that like most tragedies we hear about in Yellowstone, could have been prevented.

This story really hit me just because I kind of understand. I can't say I wouldn't find myself having a very difficult mental argument in this situation. Assuming you clearly understand the situation, logically there's really nothing you can do for the poor dog but watch. Yet that's got to be gut reaching. If you don't quite fully understand/appreciate the actual situation (and high emotional and/or emergency situations tend to make many people panic and rush judgement) and you care about pets like I do it becomes understandable how your brain might land on screw it I can do this... It's just plain sad. Where I live we see loose dogs that have escaped yards all the time and frequently it's hours before the owners notice and go looking. It makes me so angry because there are very really dangerous things out there that the animals simply don't or can't understand.

When I hear stories about the guy getting locked in the oven and similar events, it always makes me think of lockout/tagout. I know it can be inconvenient, especially during tasks that are quick or that happen often, but that man would be alive if the machine was locked out. I repair and maintain equipment in a hardwood mill and regularly have to be inside/under/on equipment like kilns to dry the lumber (similar to what he was in but as long as a basketball court), chippers that turn an entire log into toothpicks in a matter of seconds, debarkers that strip logs in seconds, bandsaws taller than a house,, etc. Even when I know that I have shutoff the power and I'm the only one with a key to the padlocks I use, it's still a freaky feeling because sometimes you can't help but wonder "what if" somebody powered up the electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics or whatever the power source is while you're inside or underneath a lot of that machinery.

The worst part is when he goes to a section of the building & people are screaming for their lives, “I’m burning” & “open it,” but there’s no one in sight. They were trapped in the building with no way out. It’s chilling. In this video, it’s at 39:45, but you can’t hear the audio. Soon after that, a man walks out of the building literally on fire, & then you see a man still trying to pull a person out of the crushed entrance & they’re both on fire. The radium they used to paint those dials and gages is no joke. I cleaned up the scrap metal from my family's farm and it was decades worth of old logging and farming equipment. Multiole semi trailer loads of it. One of the loads was rejected at the recycle facility because it set off their radiation detectors. They had to empty the trailer and search thru it to find the problem. It was from a cluster of gages out of an old log loader that had been converted from an old WW2 heavy truck. 70 years after it was built, that little bit of radioactive material was over the limits and tripped the alarm even buried inside the middle of that entire trailer load of scrap. Amazing.

Also anytime I see one of those pictures of an Orca in captivity with it's Dorsal fin sagging downwards like that it just breaks my heart. Being able to feel bored and depressed takes a very high functioning brain, it knows it's not supposed to be in a tank doing tricks for fish, it wants to be out in the open ocean with its Pod hunting. It is really sad but none of it would've happened if they'd just kept the poor dog on a leash as they were supposed to. And jumping in after the pet was an extra layer of this. I understand the despair and desperation when a pet is dying but once the dog was in that water, sadly, there was no saving it and he should've stayed out. Poor doggo and poor owner but on the part of the owner, it was ignorance and a lack of common sense that caused this.

🇬🇧 In 1977, i was a Lab Technician for a UK based company with license to make bottled drinks incl CocaCola. When i started & was shown my duties, one of which was an extremely hazardous test which could have resulted in an excruciating death. The older Lab Tech took me outside on a freezing, snow blizzarding day to the parking bay where an enormous tanker truck was waiting Within the tanker was boiling point ( or higher) liquid sugar. We had to climb up the ladder affixed to the back of the tanker To the top & crawl on hands & knees along a metal grid No special protective wear, no gloves ( as testing equipment was delicate and chancey) Only our own coats, unable to see through sheets of snow with a plastic tray of instruments for collection. Once at the circular lid, we had to unscrew the lid which slid to oneside. LEAN OVER A MAN HOLE CONTAINING SCALDING LIQUID SUGAR.... Dip a long handled metal beaker into the sugar, have the unscrewed sample jars ready, balanced 15ft or more in the air, ontop of this sugar tanker in a snow blizzard, balancing the sample tray on the grid & at arms length, only gripping on with frozen knees, & pour the scalding sugar from a tall thin beaker into skinny sample jars & re screw. Also dip another instrument into the hole to measure the temperature of the boiling sugar in situ. THEN ... FASTEN BACK THE LID & CRAWL BACKWARDS, HOLDING THE SAMPLE TRAY, TO THE LADDER & CLIMB DOWN.... I kid you not! It was terrifying & the heat coming from that open manhole on top of the tanker was Hell Hot! Suffice to say, i got used to it & did the whole thing myself once experienced! But thinking back to those appalling conditions without proper & adequate safety & protective clothing was Enough to sue the company dry. But, we did it, everyone else had to do it & you had to be meticulously vigilant & careful My greatest fear was a strong gust of wind blowing me into the tanker of boiling sugar! Heck it gives me nightmares even now! They wouldnt dare insist staff undertake this kind of work these days, even with safety harnesses & under cover from bad weather AND £500 per tanker test!! You were lucky to get a couple of free bottles of Coke to take home on pay day! To even think a company would allow a young woman to do what I & others did, is unthinkable! Thanks & Peace 🇬🇧👧

To those who know, burning sugar is the stuff of nightmares. Unlike water, which will splash off and can be rinsed away, molten sugar *sticks* to you and KEEPS BURNING YOU the whole time. You basically have to scrape it off, so good luck doing that quickly. It can give you third-degree burns within seconds. My sister has had a job of taking the old cemetery's books (back in the day they'd hand write how the person died and the circumstances behind it) and her job is to take all these books and put them into a computer system. The stories of death and how unbelievably unlucky some people were, is mind boggling. Everything from choking on a bubble gum ball to heart attacks to kids on train tracks, and literally passing away on the toilet. There's SOooo many sad stories! It's quite a sad job but like she said, somebody has to do it. What gets her the most is the stories of the little ones. That's the hardest.

I know you're just pointing out a specifically bad case, but there are lots probably worse than that BECAUSE of modern medicine. There was that Japanese guy I think who got a huge dose from work (can't remember exactly, probably power plant) and would have died in a matter of days...but instead, his family insisted they do everything to keep him alive, including amputating all his limbs, and having his skin constantly melt away requiring almost daily skin grafts. The gas station story is aggravated by the fact that it was found that the manager had threatened to garnish wages, or punish the teen for stolen gas. (Very illegal) His story is now told in WorkSafeBC programs for young workers. If he had been made aware of his rights, he certainly would never have attempted to halt the vehicle. Which you should never ever do to begin with... Now all of BC requires you to pay the full amount prior to fueling. Both to prevent this, and at the time, growing incidents of gas theft. A nice little detail in the Kirwin case, at Celestine Pool, in Yellowstone National Park: When he was pulled from the water by his friend and other visitors, his eyes had turned almost completely white, from being cooked in the volcanic heated water. He was now completely blind, as you mentioned in the above video. I was told this info by friends, who worked at Yellowstone, when this event happened. His skin did indeed slough right off when they tried to remove his boots and socks. It was not a pretty sight, from what I was told. That has to be one of the most horrible ways to perish. The pain he felt after emerging from the hot spring must have been beyond intense. I cannot even fathom how he survived as long as he did. Burns on 100 percent of his body! I only hope he was given massive amounts of Morphine and/or Fentanyl for the pain, before he perished. Definitely a horrible fate. She was friendly when timez got tough, and i was the same way! We both loved sodas!! 😊 But thats all. I just wanted to send out my ❤ love to an iconic video, of a dying girl, in a quaint little village, a million miles away from me.😢

I'm not sure if it's a real person. On another video as an example the word was "field" except he pronounced it as "filed". If the error was accidentally writing filed into the script when he's reading it aloud he would know that filed isn't the right word. He would have mentally understood the word is field. He would not have read aloud the error. The fact that there was not only a spelling mistake in the script but a verbal mistake too, so that's twice. I think it's a bot ..

I took care of John Anderson for a couple of nights at a hospital in Roswell, NM. He shared some stories and was such a polite man. He was admitted on veteran’s day of 2015 unfortunately and passed away within a day or two of that during my lunch break. He’s one of those patients who’s always stuck with me.

The story of Moosie & David gets me every time. It was a stupid thing he did, yes, but for what a sweet reason. DO NOT take your pets to Yellowstone! That picture of poor brave Omayra makes me cry every time, too. Dammit, Scary Interesting! My heart breaks for Tilikum. Kidnapped from his family as a youngster, abused by older Orcas as he grew up & then placed in the Orca equivalent of solitary confinement, he likely ended up on the Orca anti-social personality spectrum. We're lucky he only killed 3 humans at most, & he should never have continued to be forced to perform after the first death at Sea World. According to several survivors, the reason most people headed to the front entrance/exit in the Station fire is that people associated with Great White were initially ordering everyone but the bands & their entourages not to use the side entrance/exit. It still blows my mind that no one was allowed to knock back on the West Virginia's hull using Morse code & let the three trapped men know that they could hear them but that they were sorry, there was no way to help them. Seems inhumane that the military posted guards to make sure no one attempted to tell the doomed men what was going on!
@63brennan
@63brennan Год назад
I was at the Station, they were saying not to use the side exits, but literally only til the band got off and the fire was still fairly small, After about 2 minutes, people just forgot about it because they were in a panic. However, because of how quickly it spread, the fire and smoke made the side doors a poor choice for escape after 4=5 minutes. I was lucky that my friends and I were towards the back and got out fairly quickly with no injuries. However a friend of mine's Dad was there and while he survived, he lost a few fingers, and got severe 3rd burns to his head and upper body. He ultimately died less than 2 years later from complications and infections from his burns.

@sarahr9894
@sarahr9894 10 месяцев назад
@@GodEmperor_yes there are tourists who visit volcanos. Mt St Helens, for one. There are also conservation areas in Hawai'i, Japan, Iceland, and New Zealand off the top of my head which feature active volcanos you can go walk to. I'm sure there are a lot more, too. Humans like observing nature, even if that nature is inherently dangerous.
@CToast
@CToast 2 месяца назад
@@GodEmperor_ lots of warning signs. Arguably too many warning signs. It is also not an "active volcano" in the manner you're assuming it is. Imagine pine forest lots and lots of it as far as the eye can see, with boiling acidic hot springs around. For fools to chase their friend's unleashed dog into to boil himself to death.

I just spent an hour watching the Great White concert video & it’s haunting. The worst part is when he goes to a section of the building & people are screaming for their lives, “I’m burning” & “open it,” but there’s no one in sight. They were trapped in the building with no way out. In this video, it’s at 39:45, but you can’t hear the audio. Look it up if you want to see & hear it. It’s chilling. There’s another part where a man walks out of the building literally on fire, & then you see a man still trying to pull a person out of the crushed entrance & they’re both on fire. It’s so sad!

But, this is the first time (at 23:29) that someone described their bones as being like a honeycomb. My sister’s bones are like that. She worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. They knew parts of the site were probably “hot,” but no one told her exactly which parts. I always thought he symptoms were odd. Thank you for this. You’ve given me much to think about.

Yep, grabbed her arm. They went with the ponytail story to make it come off as "Oh, it's so sad, but she should have tucked that ponytail away...." He'd been an animal torn away from his mother when he was basically still a baby and then abused his entire life, stuffed into basically a bathtub. It's not a surprise at all that he became aggressive, what else did he have?
@sweetmissypetuniawilson9206
@@rush1er and while I agree that orcas shouldn't be in small tanks, as elephants shouldn't be in small enclosures. I have a, is it necessary/hate view of zoos/sanctuaries & places like seaworld/aquariums (large scale). Because it would seem if we didn't have them, some would be hunted to extinction. Lots of poachers out there & they're everywhere!
@OtterThing

@@sweetmissypetuniawilson9206 That is true, but there is a difference between protecting and breeding endangered species in a natural enclosure and caring for their health and mentality - than the situation with Sea World which is just a mess of abuse and neglect.
