Yup. They're basically a failed FEV experiment while trying to make Super Mutants. The creature between the Deathclaw and the Centaur is called a Fog Crawler, they're found in the Far Harbor (or as we like to call it, Fah Habah, putting a thick Bostonian accent on it) DLC of Fallout 4. They can get even bigger than deathclaws, and their exoskeleton provides significant protection. Fortunately, they're rather rare.
During the residents stay, Vault tech play a white noise 24/7, they all went psychotic and kill eachother just to don't listen to the infernal sound anymore
vault 92 was a vault dedicated to preserve the best musicians (and brainwash them with subliminal messages inside white noise) it ended poorly, they basically killed each other and broke the vault
@@therookiegamer2727 The only one I can recall that didn't end poorly was Vault City, and even then that was in spite of Vault-Tec rather than because of it.
🤦♂️ it's been so long since I played New Vegas, I completely missed that! Thank you! (Looks like I'll be replaying NV after I finish up Fallout 3, heh)
"No Big Iron on my hip" A reference to Marty Robbins' song "Big Iron" on the New Vegas radio station, and it became a wonderful meme. Bottlecaps: David V Stewart has a video on currency in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and argues that bottlecaps are one of the better post-apocalyptic currencies out there.
Him coming out of St. Keanus Psychiatric might be a reference to the end of "A Songus Amongus", a song that also has almost the same first line as this one
@@spinosaurusiii7027 I appreciate you pointing it out, thank you, I was just saying I should have recognized it since I reacted to that one and didn't! Whoops!
A more obscure fact: Professor Chalk being caked up is a reference to some of the in-game images of people wearing vault suits, as well as the uncomfortable nature of the irl Fallout store.
Getting that line about how we "live in an open world game" right after watching Curious Archive's video on how the world-building for this "Earth" malarkey is rubbish was a treat :D
12:45 The middle two characters are from their videos for “Gamer Christmas” and “Lock Me Up”, I don’t think the other two have appeared anywhere besides the lecture hall crowd
the purple-haired mutant (named nat) has shown up elsewhere. she debuted on Breathtaking and was a major character in One More Pull the last guy (theo) is new, but is voiced by stupendium, and after a commenter mentioned it, chalkeaters confirmed that he is (now) the announcer from Songus Amongus' kid
Characters: Big green lady = a super mutant Girl with pink hair and red clothes = meant to cosplay Piper Wright, a companion from Fallout 4 Guy in the middle = Professor Chalk Guy "dressed" like a robot next to Chalk = meant to be cosplaying, or look like a Protectron - a robot from Fallout series Guy with a hat and a beige jacket that you said was "the courer" (which he is not) = likely meant to be cosplaying Preston Garvey (or some other minutemen) from Fallout 4, a companion and quest giver.
The ending part of the animation is a refernce to the opening of the original Fallout, which zooms out of a black and white TV to show a destroyed city.
You know I first thought the guy infront of the hospital in the trenchcoat is Nick Valentine the Human and since Nick Valentine in Fallout 4 is just a Synth with the Copy of the Humans brain it could be very well him.
@@Insaneian can’t wait to watch the 40 minute video for a 1 minute song when your back into the swing of things 😂😂😂 seriously though I love your breakdowns on the songs you react too keep it up man!
Thank you for the video, amazing work as always. Since the Chalkeaters had posted their video , I was waiting for your reaction. Thank you for all of your reaction video and all your explanation. I learn a lot every time because english is not my native language , since i'm french 😅
Suggestion: The artist, Kevin Temmer Tunes. I especially reccomend "Moon Rap (Why You Should Fear The Moon)" Each song is about 1 minute 30 seconds long. To fill time, other options include: "What's the Matter, Martha?", "The Opening of Every Animated Film...", "Delete This Tweet", "The 'I met Weird Al' song", and lastly a sequel to Moon Rap; "I Miss My Friends - The Depressing Extended Version",
A tip I learned recently is that instead of going 5 seconds, you can press the < and > keys to go forward and back by a frame. If you hold it down, you can go forward and backward much more slowly.
This song immediately hooked a bio nerd like me - biology and evolution teach that humanity is dust and our end can be very funny. So roll out it already! P.S Greatest part of full version it is phrase "we fade into Oblivion with guns"
12:38 the characters are from left to right Mutants Piper of fallout 4 A brotherhood of steel knight A robot of west tek i think, i might be wrong And preston garvey also of fallout 4 If i have an error sorry, itw been a while since i played any fallout
6 minutes in, pausing just for this. Ian for the love of the gods move your damn mouse off of the captions button. I can't be the only one who's actiively tensing up because the menu's up like that.
10:02 Ну и как обычно, небольшая отсылочка эксклюзивно для русскоговорящего коммьюнити: "Вы теперь одеты, как Чёрт" на экране в тот момент, когда Проф разрывает тельняшку на груди. And automatic translation: 10:02 Well, as usual, a small reference exclusively for the Russian-speaking community: "You are now dressed like the Fiend" on the screen at the moment when Prof rips his vest on his chest. In the Russian localization of the game, this group is called "Devils", which means low-ranking demons. The word is used in conversation to denote a very, very disrespected person, one to whom no one shakes hands. I can't find an exact equivalent in English right now, because... There is a "bastard", there is an "asshole" and "jerk", but all this is not quite the same. In any case, this phrase on the screen when you put on the factional armor of the Devils - it kind of hints at who you are now, and how you will be treated. The translators hit the nail on the head, I bow to them.
"I don't know who these are" Characters seem to be Prof Chalk's recurring students, whom I must assume given each having their own VAs, it's the people who worked on this, and friends. Second part is the outfits; to the far left is a Super Mutant (classmate; Nat, voiced by PiNKII), to their right is Piper Wright, the reporter from Fallout 4, in the middle lies Professor Chalk himself in his Brotherhood Best, second from the right is a Protectron, and to the far right, in their dapper best, is of course, the Mysterious Stranger, Classmate; Theo, played the one and only best enby; Stupes..
@@Insaneian Always glad to help, Ian! I'm a huge lore nerd in the games I play, so recognizing characters and monsters is my specialty. Though I did need a reminder on the protectron.
God I'm late to this reaction... It sucks cause I've been bumping this banger since I first played it. I've missed watching these reaction videos In case you're looking for reaction recommendations, Soupy Garbage Juice has an album of birthday songs that are hilarious.
The creature with all the tongues and hands for feet is a centaur it’s one of the most severe mutations from radiation they’re only found in nests where the roads are the highest
Yeah, it was a Tesla Roadster that got launched as a kind of a publicity stunt for a SpaceX launch test. The test was legit, and they needed weight for the test, so why not a Tesla? I think you're getting Corvette from the "Heavy Metal" opening. Which admittedly that scene seems to be referencing.
In the beginning, the guy in the trenchcoat is "the mysterious stranger" a perk related npc that only shows up through using V.A.T.S. Also ghouls never needed chems. Thats something they made up in the show
i have always been curious with how people refer to the brotherhood of steel as a religious group, my firdt contact with fallout was fallout 3 then fallout nv so i dont get it, BoS being religious i could see if you have only played fallout 4 and seen the show, but no, i wouls say they are mostly non religious as an organization, though, i guess they almost worship old world tech, though i would say its more like an artisan seeing a very good quality and expensive tool and drooling over it, they are really ideological, though, but mostly because they have strict fundational rules, overall i think its mostly because of the series, (i have seen very few episodes) but from what i hace seem they do look like a religious group, even though i would say that in most fallout lore they are not religious.
i think the whole 2nd half of the song was also aligned with "Doomer" mentality younger people who have given up with how broken the societal systems are. and are just watching the idiots run everything into the ground at record speed. waiting for something to buckle under everything. example: housing prices, if the prices don't become reasonable. there will be a point where the metaphorical scales tips. where they will be forced to lower the prices, or just abandon the buildings. vacant houses become free, because their owners will be so far in the hole. they won't have the time or money to kick everyone out. especial if the homeless population keeps growing if the system that helps people isn't working. then it also can't keep people in line... now i know this all sounds like anarchy. but Doomers don't think it will devolve into complete Anarchy. instead turn into targeted or controlled Anarchy. people picking and choosing when to be civil or spiteful.
Most folks can, yes, but as I've stated in a few videos now (both in the video or in comments) for whatever reason, those don't work for me. Thanks tho!
The guy in the trenchcoat at the start is more likely the 'Real' Nick Valentine, since the Vault-Tec Representive had a Yellow hat/trenchcoat combo, Nick Valentine was the grey/brown combo. The second creature in the dancing lineup is a Fogcrawler, from Fallout 4's Far Harbor and 76. And the final lineup are all dressed up in Fallout 4, in a way, a Super Mutant (albeit wearing more than Supermutants wear), Piper's outfit, then Chalk, then a Protectron and then the Minutemen/Preston Garvey gear. Good video as always dude!
I don't have the attention span for that 😅 I'll forget what I want to say by the end. Also, all reactors (all good ones, anyway) REACT during the video, not wait til the end.
Look, here's the thing. When I comment lyrics, and you recognize them, I want you to reply to my comments, *continuing* the lyrics, and then when you respond to it, I respond to it with further continuation, and then you respond to it again, and it keeps going until the song ends. Deal?
Nathan, I'm not your comment monkey. I'm not going to do things just because you tell me to. If you want something, ask. But know I have the right to refuse.
