I grew up in Eastern Europe and Methylene blue is what we were prescribed for strep throat, soar throat, tonsillitis. Didn't taste so bad, but the stained teeth,tongue and lips was hilarious 😁😋

@@mariachristoff Hi Maria. A year ago I started with serum 1 and after two months moved to 2. (Both conjoined with using the "cure" as an every night or every other night spot treatment on a couple target areas/lines - which I still do). A year in I now use serum 1 in the morning and serum 3 at night! Figured it's the best of both worlds :) - also the day after I exfoliate I only use 1 as this serum is indeed as other people have described, "spicy" ;)

When I first started using serum 1 (that week I only/solely used that twice a day followed by moisturizer/spf) I was on vacation and I still remember clearly on about the fifth day walking in this airbnb hallway and catching a glimpse of my face in the mirror and literally stopping short. My face just looked younger - not in the lifting sort of way, but in this incredible overall brightness and elasticity. I can feel the thickness and tautness of my skin when I wash and the glow has remained - just a healthful look to my skin. I honestly keep thinking why do I use any other products but then again I love researching and choosing a top handful and layering. Long reply ;) - but for reference I'm mid forties, been using spf since 19 and inherited pretty good genes from my mother, but of course time is catching up a bit. This past year though when I've visited friends every single one of them has said something aloud about my skin. I know these antioxidants by HFF have played a big part in this. Cheers, A.

Wow, this was a very intriguing video. I struggle with the dryness from Retin-A but I’m desperate for results. I just ordered the sample set, can’t wait to try it out. Hi Sue, thank you for your very thoughtful comment. I am glad you enjoyed this. I have a couple of Dr Cao's products, with the eye cream being my favorite. Unfortunately the products contain quite a bit of essential oils (I am not sure why and I need to ask Dr Cao about it), and my skin is not too wild about that. But the eye cream is lovely, very emollient. I did get a bottle of MB from this company healthnatura.com/simply-methylene-blue-400mcg-ready-to-use-solution-1oz/. However I have nothing to compare it to, so I am not sure if it is the best. There are a few pharmaceutical grade MB companies, this one just appealed to me the most. I did add a couple of drops to my copper peptide serum, will keep you posted. I am also playing around with taking it internally (don't tell my husband;)). Oh my gosh this is one of the most exciting things I’ve ever seen!! For so many reasons… I have a genetic mutation that impairs methylation process in my body, affecting my energy levels and ability to remove toxins efficiently. I’ve always wondered if methylene blue could be helpful for that but I’ve seen mixed results and reviews from people… As far as the skin aspect, this is extremely exciting! I tried retinol, and although I did not have a bad reaction, I did not like how dry and lifeless it made my skin no matter how much moisturizer I used and obviously the aspect of it making me photosensitive. The science aspect of this video was so mentally stimulating as I sit here with my morning coffee! It’s super charged me for the day :-) thank you Claudia, I always look forward to your fascinating videos with real science :-)

HI, thank you so much for your very lovely and thoughtful comment. I am sorry to hear that you have ,what sounds like MTHFR mutation. It is quite common and I to have a single mutation of it. You bring up a good point with MB maybe being helpful and I will def. do some research on this. Do you take any methyl donors to support methylation? I am sure you do, you seem very knowledgable about this. As far as MB and skin, it is def. very exciting. Especially for those not wanting to use vitamin A, or even in combination. @@claudiaglows Yes, actually I tried Sam - E, and had a terrible heroine like feeling from it… Same with NADH… TMG didn’t seem to have either positive or negative effect… but taking so many supplements for so many years and having mostly positive results from amino acids and minerals, is rather discouraging. Learning that something so simple and inexpensive, is very exciting :-) also revisiting red light therapy. And the relationship between methylene blue, red light and antioxidants… The simplest solution is usually the correct one :-) don’t they call that Occam‘s razor? :-) thank you for your response, very kind of you! @@Aurla-R2-D2 No it hasn't acted badly. I do well with essential oils and actually have a distributorship with Young Living. For me, the only thing I have noticed negative (and not really bad at all) is that my skin doesn't feel real moist. I will wait till the end of the jar to evaluate it totally.

I've enjoyed using it: smells nice, a natural herbal smell, the serum has a nice slip and doesn't pill when applied with other serums and mineral sunscreen. No irritation. My skin doesn't seem different, neither better nor worse, but I feel that the effects are within the dermis and will help with collagen production and epidermal clariry.

Thank you for another great interview! I am trying the Renue MB face cream now, but the rosemary and eucalyptus are so strong that I cannot tolerate it on my face. It appears that they used their usual NAD face cream and added MB. Both the Renue and the Bluelene list MB as less than 1% (below Phenoxyethanol), so I guess that is an effective amount. I think I will try a Bluelene product to compare. Not sure which one, though.

Hello Claudia I hope this message finds you well just a quick heads up I have been using the methylene blue mixed with the moringa oil for a while now and I am seeing definitely some results I originally was taking about 15 or 16 drops internally I’ve cut that back to about 10 drops, which feels better. I was experiencing a little bit of Herxheimer syndrome with the 16 drops, ergo the cut back, which works fine. Now on the mixture of Maringo oil with the drops that seems to be a nice combination it’s absorbed into the skin fairly quickly and I’m noticing the quality of my skin is improving quite a bit not that I had bad skin to begin with but what was there is now much improved, I will try to include some photographs for you

This is fascinating! One thing I’d like to point out about methylene blue, however, is that it has a major drug interaction with antidepressants and can lead to serotonin syndrome. As a pharmacist, I’d be interested to know the extent of absorption into the bloodstream when using a topical cosmetic cream like what is offered in the Bluelene line. Hopefully any systemic absorption would be minimal . But definitely something people should keep in mind if they are thinking about taking it internally.

Hi Sarah You bring up a great point and I actually just interviewed another Dr on MB and asked him about systemic absorption from topical MB. His thought was, that if it happens, it is very minimal. @@claudiaglows Yes I most certainly will I have one quick little thing to share Sunday morning I took my 12 drops with that about 5 ounces of water I went out in my yard did my yoga and then decided I wanted to go running which I haven’t done in five years so I was a little reticent but decided, “why not “. I shocked myself I went running and my speed amazes me considering the amount of time that I had not run I ran 5 miles without skipping a beat no problem whatsoever and the energy was pretty intense so if this is the Port center what’s the come I welcome us with open arms. I am a singer by trade and so I will do essentially anything to keep my energy level high and my performance is strong and I think this is V, if not one of the best substances that I’ve added to my regimen. Having been on the road and experience a lot of habits that, let us say, were not the best thing to do(Bad food, late nights,smoky venues et al), I had to deal with a lot of issues that Wllm well detrimental to regular quality performances. I’ve always believe that one is only as good as ones last performance, I’ve been a rough food vegan for many many years, lucky to be able toBe able to expand on this sorry to be so wordy but that’s my statement I will let you know what happens I want to go and thank you so much for your sincere and energetic videos I’ve become very quickly a big fan

But I am not sure how much to use when you use your own. I would play around with it, depending on how strong the MB is you are getting and use less rather than more. As far as what brands, I would search for pharmaceutical grade MB and a few should show up. I can not tell you that it makes a big difference, but I def. like the science behind it. And I have been using retin a along with it. It is something I do not want to give up x

In all of the products MB is the last ingredient in the ingredient deck and I don’t need to tell you this means the product has the least amount of MB. I hope you will love the.Bluelene products I do find it a bit hard to incorporate Adipeau into my routine, so what I do, as I use it very first thing in the morning, then I get ready, walk, my dog exercise, and a couple of hours later I wash it off into my regular skin care routine. I do not use it in the evenings any longer. However, I realize my morning routine might not work for everyone. So I would say, if that is not something you can do, I would use the Adipeau before the Night Cream Plus, let it sink in a well, and then apply the night cream. In the mornings, maybe you could just use it as your regular moisturizer. But you can definitely combine both lines if you find a good way to fit it all in. I hope this helps, please keep me posted on how you like the new products. x

I must say the Adipeau has made a noticeable improvement in texture and volume on my face. I am glad to hear you are loving the DNA repair cream as well. You know, I have the serum but find myself not using it because it has essential oils in it. My skin is quite sensitive, but if yours is not, then it should not be a problem. The cream has essential oil in it as well. I would say if your skin is ok with essential oils and you love the DNA repair cream, try the serum. I would say that the serum has a bit more MB, simply because it has a light blue color, versus the cream does not. I actually got some MB and am playing around with adding it to my existing products, will keep you posted.

So I have tried the Bluelene products but they have quite a bit of essential oils in them and my sensitive skin did not care for that Instead I got some MB and mixed a couple of drops into a facial mist, will keep you posted on how that goes. Hi Annie, I think it is so hard to see a difference when seeing our skin daily. I also thought that retin a did not do much, until I looked at pictures from before using it and the difference was quite extreme. But you can def. use this in combination with tretinoin and Oneskin. I purchased the eye cream. I find it hard to find an eye cream that I can put on my eyelids. It’s definetly making a difference and I’ve just purchased my second bottle. I’ve been a retin a cream now for six years just as an aside.

Hi Claudia! I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I am a 32 yr old with brown skin and just started off on Differin gel(also for a bit of acne) before getting on Tretinion. I am inquisitive with this ingredient and was wondering how I can use this cream in conjunction with Differen gel. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks!

Hi, I am really happy you are here Personally I use it in conjunction with Tretinoin without problems But if you just started with the Differen, you might want to get used to it first, before introducing another ingredient x

I have to say ...I don't know her age but she has the skin of a 20 year old, even though from her voice, and her features you can see she is not 20. So if she is using those products, then they are definitely working for her!

Claudia Glows , yes I will try it so I can finish all my products (just hope it does not "cancel" out other actives? Well, I bought lots of things I wanted to try for a while: Timeless vitamin C, Skinceuticals Vitamin C, Estée Lauder ARN (just for the sake of it once in my life)... Isntree Bifida serum, Fillmed serums (french medical website) ...etc ! I was going to get the infrared sauna you mentioned but just could not justify spend that amount of money right now as we are busy investing.....(+ the shipping was expensive).... so I decided just to get skincare I would get anyway within the next few months. (the infrared sauna will have to wait a year or so) . I I also wanted to stock up on Do Not Age but their "bundles" were crazy expensive (I wish next time they will have "individual" products on sale.... Anyway I will try to find some methylene blue for now and try it until I finish all my skin care (in a year or 2?) 🤣

Hi Claudia! On the website they don't recommend the use of retinol while using the cream cause both products do the opposite. I love the results of tretinoin but I hate the flaky skin. What are your experiences with that products? I mean do you really think it is better than tretinoin in your personal opinion? Would love to hear from you! Greatings from Germany!

Hi Helen, thank you for being here. You know, I tried some of the products, and while they are nice, they have a lot of essential oils, which my sensitive skin did not like. So I got some pharmaceutical grade MB and am playing around with adding it to products. Dr Cao did say that there is no real contraindication with MB, so I would think it is ok with tretioin, and I am def. using both. But if I had to choose, I would choose tretinoin. While MB sounds amazing, we do have more studies on tretinoin. I hope this helps Liebe Grüsse xx

Hi Eli, there really are not real guide lines, but less is better. I put 4 drops in 250ml, which did not turn me blue. But I think next time I might even just use 3 drops

I'm considering preparing a DIY skin serum with MB to use after a micro-needling session. Seems the MB would accelerate healing and, at the same time, enable the MB to penetrate deeper into the skin. I read not to use Vitamin C if using more than a .3 micro-needling device so I'll research ingredients that would be safe to use.

Hi, you are correct, you do not want to use vitamin c when going deeper than 0.3mm. I would also caution against using MB when going deeper and would personally only use it for cosmetic needling (0.2-.0.3mm)

You absolutely could and I have actually been playing around with it. Make sure it is pharmaceutical grade and do not use too much since it will stain I do not know if it mixes well with witch hazel, since I do not use that, but I would think so x

Hi, thank you for being here and for your kind comment. Dr Cao did say that MB does not have to be at a high concentration to be beneficial. I think they did quite a bit of testing to see what concentration works well and came up with this formulation.
