There’s often more than one way to do something and paint removal is no exception. However, even if the results are comparable and the paint is gone, factors like removal speed, material abrasion or the ease of working with individual tools will differ considerably. This discarded tank gave us the perfect opportunity to try out various grinding discs and brushes, and to shoot a video to show you the differences. The discs we used here were as follows: the non-woven cleaning abrasive RHODIUS SVS, the flap disc RHODIUS Jumbo Longlife Trim, the grinding disc RHODIUS RS28, the fibre discs RHODIUS KFK (grit 40) and RHODIUS KFS (grit 120), the non-woven disc RHODIUS VLS Velcro ‘Coarse’, the crimped brush RHODIUS STBW and the knotted brush STBZ.
