Hello, I am an international student who will be coming to Straffordshire University for ma social work. I have read about new immigration laws where to get work visa after course completion will need a annual salary of 38k pounds. I was already aware that this comes under occupation shortlist but will I be earning 38 k pounds salary as social worker? What should I do ?

Hi that's interesting. To be honest, that's outside of my knowledge base. Agency social workers do make more than social workers working within local authorities but I am not sure if this would work for you. From briefly looking online about your query it appears you may be best looking at the Home Office website for specifics on requirements or consult an immigration solicitor for legal advice as this area can be complex.
