This is a stunning van fair play! Any advice for fitting a cigarette socket to the back of the drivers seat? Loads of cables under there. Did you tap into one of those or go from the fuse box? Cheers Steve
Hi, and thank you, I connected mine directly to my solar panel control box, as it has the ability to switch the power off when not in use and I didn't want to have the 12v outlet connected to the vehicle battery but to the leisure battery, however as you said it is possible to connect it to one of those live wires under the seat, just bare in mind what you will be using it for I.e. would you want it as a permanent live or switched with the ignition? Always use an inline fuse for extra safety.
@@charliesautos Thank you so much for getting back to me. Its going to be for the kids DVD players in the back so I am looking to find a cable to jump from that is a switched ignition live. I have one of those 10 amp piggy back fused cables that I could use but will be a bit more of a job running the cable and then I'm not sure what thickness cable to use. Kids may charge an ipad phone in the back too so nothing that needs a lot of power. Thanks again for getting back to me. Steve :)
