I gots to get one of them! I'm a Baby Lock serger owner from way back in 1989 (It still works great). I call myself "upgrading" my old Baby Lock with a different brand. Hated it - Sold it. 🤦🏿 My newest Baby Lock serger has the "Jet-Aire" threading. Mind. Blown. I see they have changed the name to "Extraordinaire" threading & I'm here for it. Baby Lock has the easiest threading system, hands down, & the best quality. That's why they cost so much and it is so worth it. I have a dedicated Janome coverstitch machine. It's good, but it's gotta go. I must experience Euphoria! Now on to figuring out how to get one🤷🏽 Thank you so much for the introduction to Euphoria, even though I'm almost a year late.

Hi Anita - I was recently thinking of you wondering how you were doing! So this new coverstitch machine: At first I wasn't going to watch the whole way through because I didn't see a need/desire to own one...but, you got me interested and intrigued! 😲😁 I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the series (2-4) to see how this fantastic machine works! It has great features and looks like it offers more or different choices than a conventional sewing machine/serger can do! My big question is why have a serger-like machine that doesn't perform the end result like a serger does cutting the seam allowance? I know I lack knowledge on this so I'll be patient and wait and see! Thank you, Anita, for this first demonstration!

Hi Angela! LOL! I hear you, sister. The serger and coverstitch have different functions. While you can do a blind hem on the serger with the appropriate presser foot attachment, the coverstitch allows for regular hems and topstitching. It's a game changer if you sew with knits, which is what I use the most. Watch the entire series. It may not be something you need. For some people, the serger is enough. But this dedicated coverstitch has completely changed the game for me. It just makes certain tasks easier.

Just recently began watching your videos. What a beautiful gracious lady you are. Your smile is amazing. Now. A question . I have a serger (over locker in the UK) and once I got over the 'fear' I use it more and more. What does a cover stitch do? How does it differ from the serger? I don't remember you saying in your intro so I've watched the video without understanding what I was watching. I won't watch the other videos for a while. You are a great teacher.

Thank you, Katherine. The coverstitch is great for hemming, topstitching, decorative stitching and sewing straight seams with stretch. When you watch the 4th video you'll get to see it all in action.

The tray on the bottom is for catching needles that are accidentally dropped in the feed dog area when threading. There is a magnet on the accessory tray for holding your needles.

that little compartment isn't for storing needles, it is for catching needles that fall into the machine when you are changing needles.

Hi there. Are you referring to a serger/overlock when you say "Coverlock?" If so, they are two different machines. The serger finishes off the seam allowance while sewing, cutting away the excess fabric. The coverstitch doesn't have a cutting blade.

I bought the Bablock Vibrant serger and I need to order needles for the serger but I have unable to find this information in the manual or elsewhere. Can you help me please as I want to sew. Thank you. Love your channel.

Hi Esperanza! You can actually use regular machine needles with your serger. I use all purpose needles with woven fabrics and jersey or stretch needles with knits. The needles that Baby Lock recommends for sergers are EL x 705 CF. But if you can't find these it's okay to use the same needles you use in your sewing machine. I hope this helps.

I sold my Babylock that had the air threader. The majority of the time the air threader didn’t work. It was a waste of time. I now have a Juki which I can thread the machine really quickly!

Hi there! I don't know if the presser foot for Baby Lock sergers will fit your Brother machine. I don't think Baby Lock has retailers in Malaysia.

I have only had my machine for 1 week. Just did a few practice stitches. I did not get any extra feet. I ALSO have the Acclaim serger and the extra feet that come with it. I wonder if any of those feet work??

Hi Pat! The Euphoria comes with one presser foot that is already attached to the machine. There are no extra feet. Congratulations on your new machine. I don't switch out presser feet on this machine because it's not necessary. I hope that helps.

@@AnitabyDesign But I’ve been hearing people talking about different binding feet and attachments they’re using to do different processes. The dealer told me that there was an extra kit or something that came with it that I didn’t purchase.
