Thank you Lucy for this introduction to the Euphoria - we are both loving our Babylock Victory sergers that we bought from you earlier this year.

Watching from the Rocky Mountain area of the USA. I follow your channel because I always learn so much about how sewing machines work and the variety of features available. And I just want to say how lovely it is to see Lucy again! Your onscreen presentation style is such a pleasure to see and hear! (And I so like the new hairstyle!) Hope all of you at Frank Nutt are staying well and healthy during this challenging time! :-)

Hi Lucy, Pat and I visited your showroom yesterday and collected our 2 Euphorias. Just been playing with mine and they are certainly fabulous machines. Being able to chain off is great. Our Triumph/Glorias purchased from Frank Nutt after you demonstrated the machine to us18 months ago are still going strong and there are still lots of features I haven’t tried yet. Loved this Euphoria set up video. Very useful. Thanks Jane

Hi there. I am watching from Northwestern Ontario, Canada. Keep making your videos, because I learn so much about machines that the manufacturer’s video does not address. For instance I own a baby lock serger and just learned about the se ret compartment under my looper threads. I just found a needle inserted, thread nets, and a pair of tweezers and a pack of needles inside! Two years I have stitched with this machine and read the book from cover to cover ( I thought anyway..must have missed something! ) and you are the fountain of information. Thanks. I purchased the Babylock Triumph (serger/coverstitch). At the time, it retailed for around 6,000.00 USD - a small car I know! However, I did get a very NICE deal on it to God be the Glory! To be sure, it is a BIG, heavy and substantial machine with a truckload of features and attachments. HOWEVER, the gorgeous stitches it makes, each and every single time, on a variety of different fabrics, the ease of use - no tension adjustments, threading is just a breeze period, 8 thread cones (1 for the chain looper) which fires the imagination (e.g., wave stitch) to new heights, simple and clear instructions, and access to the exclusive Babylock tutorial (on all their machines, mind you) and craft site WOW to the 3rd power, etc, made it the best purchase I've made for my tailoring arsenal. I had the Brother coverstitch CV???? (don't remember the model) with the top coverstitch. For the most part, it was NOT a bad machine at all and it was MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, MUCH cheaper. On this model, you cannot just chain off. You have to pull the threads to the front, then to the back, then spin around three time or something like that. LOL. Seriously, I really enjoyed that machine (top coverstitch especially) but to compare the two would be grossly unfair, in my opinion. The rumor is that Babylock makes Brother or vice versa or that they are in some kind of way related but then again that is the rumor. I am sure this machine, EUPHORAI, will inherit the fine Babylock tradition and it is WAY cheaper than the Triumph. The Triumph is a true workhorse and it does this without effort. As long as you keep up the maintenance, you should have no problems AT ALL. I IMAGINE (another Babylock machine) no pun intended if you get the EUPHORIA you will enjoy "sewing-nirvana" for years to come. Cheers.

Baby Lock is so common in USA. Look for afiliate link in quilting groups on RU-vid like Misourie Star Quilts or qvc craft channel they have amazing deals for clients as well credit deals what is only for chanels clients . You also have post service too as priority vip paid client . Local shops will take care for your post sale too but also doing free trainings is you buy from them items as well have free shows when you can meet great quilters and learn different techniques what make your product make faster and better quality.

belladone69 I fully agree with you. I have a BLCS 2 and I thought that the next baby lock coverstitch machine would feature a top+bottom coverstitch as in the CV3550, but I am so disappointed now. A reseller in France (where I live) told me a few months ago that baby lock was considering this feature, but that there were technical challenges. Maybe in a not too distant future we will have it ...

My Euphoria is skipping all the time and I can not for the life of me figure it out. It always gets finicky with neckband lines and at first it was running over side seams at the hem of a shirt like butter but now it gets caught and has a hard time adjusting auto tension. Please help me!!!

Hello, the video is great, but I wonder how you pull the fabric out from under the machine when I'm lining the sleeve around and I can't sew to the end of the fabric because the sewn sleeve doesn't have the end of the fabric, it's a circle... thanks for the answer - ideally a video demonstration. It's a common problem. Or sewing a tunnel on a hooded cord.

Hello, Is theEuphoria coverstitch machine a serger and is a serger the same as an overlock? I guess what I’m asking is do I need a serger in addition to this machine. I’m just a little confused. Does this machine also act as a regular sewing machine. It looks to me that it does without all the fancy stitches. Also does it make button wholes and and can you sew zippers with it? Sorry for all the questions but this is the first time I saw this machine and I’m curious to it’s capabilities. Thank you in advance
@SewingMachineRehab
@SewingMachineRehab 3 года назад
This machine only does coverstitch. If you need to sew button holes and regular straight unfinished seams then you need a sewing machine also. I don’t believe a machine has ever existed that does all of these functions and if there were one I’m guessing it wouldn’t work very well and you would spend a lot of time changing between functions. You would need a serger in addition to this machine if you want nice finished seam edges that won’t unravel in the wash. There are some combo machines out there (serge and coverstitch) but the benefit of a coverstitch only machine is that that you get a professional finish on your knit garments without having to switch back and forth (which can be quite a headache) like you would on a machine that is a combo. It can be confusing, I was confused too in the beginning of my sewing journey. I started out with a sewing machine, added a serger later and then purchased a combo serger/coverstitch machine. I wish I had just purchased a dedicated coverstitch machine now. This Euphoria will be added to my sewing room soon, I can’t wait!

@@SewingMachineRehab thank you so much! I have a regular sewing machine but I am going to upgrade, is there any you can recommend? I guess I should get the serger first then add the overlock. Also what serger do you recommend. I just don’t want to waste money on one that I’m going to have to upgrade down the line so I figure to ask someone who’s already been through it. Thank you again

@@kimberlywilson9282 You are so welcome! I would say it depends on your budget honestly. I really love the Babylock line for sergers and coverstitch because of the way the loopers are air threaded. Since I answered you last I have been looking at the Babylock Accolade which serges and coverstitches. I may get that instead of the Euphoria which only cover stitches just to save table space. Because I have some machines to trade it will be more affordable, hopefully around 1.5 to 2k. I think it’s the only combo machine I would consider. If your budget is lower I would say just watch a ton of videos on the machines you are looking at. I love the website sewing.patternreview.com, they have so many honest reviews there on almost every machine out there and a forum where you can ask questions and you will get answers! If you just had to pick one to add to your collection go with a serger first. I wish I could say more but my current serger is as old as the hills, a Janome 9102D. Once you learn how to thread it and adjust the tensions properly it is really great! But I have shed a few tears in the process haha. I also have a Huskylock S25 which I totally regret. I purchased it because it is a combo and what a massive letdown, it is too hard to change over and the settings for tension are always way off. Ugh, don’t even get me started. Sometimes it is best to just save up and get a nicer model, you have to decide what is best for you and your budget. Good luck!
@kimberlywilson9282

@@SewingMachineRehab I will definitely look into the Accolade. I don’t really have a big sewing room and would like to save on space. I used to sew years ago when my children were little but I have been working for the last 30 years and just sewed now and then. But now I really want to get back into it. What do you think of the singer 9960 for a regular sewing machine? My current machine is a Singer and is about 35 years old and is was probably a mid to upper level machine when I got it. I feel like with the new machines are so nice now. Please let me know what you think of the 9960 and if you would recommend any others to look at. I will be using it for crafts, garment sewing and I would like to eventually learn quilting. I’m so excited to just purchase a machine but at the same time I don’t want to get one and then regret if I see one I like better so I’m trying to take my time.

Kim, I can’t speak from personal experience about the Singer machine. I tend to lean more towards Babylock, Janome or Bernina when it comes to a machine that I expect to last for a long time. Between me, my mother and sister we have never had a Singer that performed perfectly for a long time. I was reading about some machines you could compare to the Singer you are looking at, check out the Babylock Presto 2 or the Janome DC2019. Also, if you can find one with an automatic thread cutter, (the Babylock has one I am sure) you will really love that feature. Sometimes more stitches isn’t better, it really comes down to does it have the ones you will use the most and how will it preform in the long run. I think the Babylock has some letters included in it’s stitches. Also, I found this fairly new article posted by a sewing machine shop in California. I found it informative and like how they talk about specific machine types as well as machines for each budget. Check it out if you have time: www.sewingmachineshop.com/dans-and-martys-top-picks.htm Hope that helps!
