I have frequently worked with the economically poor based on governmental measures of income. Too many of the philosophies and teachings of working with the poor is really working on the poor. People with low income frequently have strengths that are not acknowledged. We need to listen more and learn rather than label and direct. Also justice should not have an adjective. We do not need social justice that identifies perpetrators and victims but a commitment to treat all justly while listening learning and understanding what needs changing, what needs strengthening and what needs preserving.

Our Lord was tempted in all things as we are without sin. Temptation is merely a proffer. With us it is accompanied by concupiscence, but Our Lord was not subject to concupiscence. In the devil’s temptation of Jesus regarding turning stones into bread, the Lord, after forty days of fasting was not struggling concerning turning stones into bread. He was not salivating, no visceral desire. Rather He quoted Scripture to the devil. St James in his epistle, clearly describes the situation with fallen humanity vis a vis temptation. With Jesus as well as Mary, there was no concupiscence! Think of that!

@47:08 I'm not happy w your comments on Scripture. Faith comes from hearing the word of God. Faith can only grow through what our ears hear. Unless you're currently moving mountains it isn't wise to describe Scripture as a PowerPoint presentation on God.

I think Jesus said something about not worrying about the outside of the container but the inside... Besides Jesus didn't walk around and clerical garb just in regular clothes
